The reliability of these cars can't be touched. Why buy American? The last Dodge I owned was a mud motor! I also owned an Oldsmobile, what a joke! I've had my Honda over 2 years and no problems. Brakes and battery yes, but normal on any car. I also owned a Nissan maxima for over 10 years! Only normal wear and tear. Although I must say Chevy trucks are the best! Fords have horrible trannys! If not for Chevy I would only buy Honda or Nissan. I hope this info will help you when shop around.

Got this car to replace wife's 92 Taurus LX w/160k miles on it. She, being smaller, loves the interior. I find the console too close to my right leg when driving. mpressions are good with quite, smooth acceleration catches you offguard when you're doing 85 when you thought you were at 55. Tires thump a little on rough roads but the ride is very enjoyable. Handling is great but the tires start to squeal when the turns get tight. I rate the interior material, fit and finish to be excellent. The instrumentation layout is excellent but I think just three simple knobs could better replace the long lineup of buttons for the vent controls. Overall - a keeper!

Excellent Car, Great Value

Bought new and has been a great value and still fun to drive. Efficient yet powerful enough to daily commute. I've tracked every tank of gas for this car... averages 33 MPG with a 5 speed manual transmission. Replaced front brakes and original tires at about 72,000 miles. Still original rear brakes. Only two problems - catalytic converter and O2 sensor. No other problems. Overall, a great driving experience.

I've had my 2003 Accord nearly 7 years and it is by far the best family car I've ever owned (I've had many). I have *never* had a problem with it -- just regular maintenance. The design is a good balance of power, fuel economy, comfort. A little boring to drive compared to my sports coupe, but that's because it's a family sedan, no fault of its own

I am a student and the main reason I got this car is because I dont have the time to run to the garage (with a domestic) everytime there is a problem. I know Honda has a long standing history of reliability and so this was the best choice. I love the V6 and the 5 speed A/T, makes driving around a truly gratifying experience. If you want a mid-size sedan look no further.

We love this car. We actually went in to purchase the pilot and decided to test drive the v-6 accord. We got three blocks from the dealer and both said "we want this car". Loaded with features comparible to luxury sedans. We had driven an audi A4 earlier this week as well and enjoyed the honda just as much. We also negotiated a great price (not far above invoice).

Test drove the Nissan Altima 4 cyl. -- stylish on the outside, mediocre engine performance, and the interior of a GM product. Came real close to buying the Camry XLE -- a magnificent ride, elegant interior, and flawless tranny, but no road feel, no panache. The Accord EX-L with the new rear deck spoiler is a real head-turner. The leatherized cabin is elegant, sporty and rich -- belying it's moderate price tag; 160 hp 4 banger is more than adequate muscle. Revamped suspension and handling blows the '98-'02 Accord away. The '03 Accord can be the sporty, classy family car you always wanted, but felt you had to settle for a trendy SUV like everyone else.

I got 30 miles per gallon with great performance and comfortable. also the 5 speed auto transmition works great, plus ABS, EDB, tracking control, side airbag, 6 CD changer, security system... altogether, only $22,000 better than Camry & Altima & Maxima. the best value of family car.

After many good years with my 92 LX, looked forward to new 03 Accord. Many improvements. However, terribly disappointed with extremely harsh/stiff ride. This car never stops jiggling up and down on even the smoothest of roadways. What good is great handling and engine performance when you feel you have to hang on for dear life because of the bumpy totally distracting ride? Honda engineers have blundered big time on the ride or maybe I have a lemon?

This is my first Honda and I like it. After 5 years of drive, there still is no noise from inside. Way better quality than my previous Toyota Corolla. And with only a 2.4 L engine, this car accelerates so fast that I felt like in a sport car. And I got 25 GPS minimum when I drove in the city, way better than my previous Nissan Altima. My car only needs to replace engine oil every 10,000 miles. Save money. I never have any problem with my car, except may be one or two recall services by Honda. I love the car and passed this 2003 model to my daughter. I just bought a new 2008 Accord EX for myself.

Bought my used accord in '07 w/ 58,000. This car looks nice, rides nice, but w a 13.5 gal tank my trip is only reading 320 miles til empty. What's that about 25mpg- (city/highway) I am little disappointed in the gas mileage, I got better in my 97' Saturn (28mpg). but over all I would buy another Honda because it's been two years and no problems, nada!!!

I've had my EX V-6 for almost 4 weeks now. I'm 6'3" and have always been forced to drive an American car. Along came the 2003 Accord and I thought my prayers were finally being answered! Now that I've had the car for a few weeks it seems my opinion has changed. No matter how I configure the front seat I can't get comfortable. Fuel economy: Honda says on the sticker that the V6 should get 21/30 mpg, I do primarily highway driving to work everyday and was SHOCKED to see I have only been averaging a mere 17 mpg! That's worse than my 1997 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. Is there anything I can do about this or that Honda can do for me?

I went from an 1992 accord ex coupe to the 2003 accord lx. This car is perfect it is stylish, and spacious. I would not be paying this type of money for any other car. I looked at the camry but they are so plain, I would rather get the civic over a camry. My car rides smooth and fast when I need it to. And I love how fast my brakes respond.

I was looking at the lexus ES300 then I heard of the accord, from a friend. I looked at the accord it had everything the Lexus had and more. It has a bigger engine. It is more fun to drive. And you can get it with Voice Activated Navigation System. All the luxury features for that price, honda should sell it for $5000.00 and people will still buy, I know I will. I almost spend $10000 more for the ES300.

All in all, a sweet car. You get a great combination of luxury (leather trim, CD player), relaxation (sun roof, cruising) and family (4dr sedan with baby seat). The ONLY annoying thing is the RIDICULOUS sliding center console - there should be a latch to keep it in place, otherwise be sure you aren't holding a drink or food.

Wow a family car for the sports car fanatic. Don't know if honda's could get much better for the money. After owning many honda motorcycles i love their fit and finish. the accord is no different. The transmission is newly improved and is short short throw and slick as butter. my corolla steer feels Heavier! than this baby. The Z28 turns more heads but man what a mech. POS!the driving feel is light and the steering is crisp and tracks straight as an arrow. The car gets 28.5 on the freeway or so and is a big car.the seats really hold you in. Maybe a hair too much wind noise and the radio is no match for my Alpine

I just bought a new 2003 Accord EX, A/T with leather. Wow! This is my 4th New Honda Accord. I thought that the previous ones were great but the 2003 surpasses them all. I am still discovering little gismos they have added. I also got a great deal on it paying $100 under factory invoice. Total out the door price was $23,751.34 The Accord's 4 cyl will outperform many of their competitor's 6's.

First Honda I've ever owned. This was the first year of this model so it had two design problems. The front motor mount had to be replaced and corrected with a stabilizer bar and windshield wiper motor had a new cover put over it because of water corrosion. I just replaced my front brake pads after 60k got tired of the new pads sitting in the trunk. I found I get better highway gas mileage with 5-30w 25cty/30hwy oil then using the 5-20w 26cty/28hwy. The only parts replaced because of failure was an O2 sensor at 63k and A/C ON/OFF switch. I do change oil at 3.2k to 3.5k and transmission fluid once a year.

I recently bought a 2003 Honda Accord EX-L at a great price ($2k less than sticker) and have put some about 1000 miles on the car. I test drove the Toyota Camry and the Nissan Altama and found the new Honda Accord hands down the best car. It drives responsively, its fun, and it has all the creature comforts that one might expect in a upper-end luxury vehicle. This car is stylish, peppy 160 horsepower, sodlidly good gass mileage, and bullet proof reliability, plus it holds is value much better than its competitions.

Black leather-nice; Heated seats- wonderful; dual-zone A/C controls- great; Stereo design and controls- great; Stereo sound-good; 4-cylinder gas mileage-best in class; 4-cylinder power-adequate and better than expected; Seat comfort-very good; Headroom-add .5 inch in front and 1 inch in back; Handling-very good though doesn't take potholes like my Q45; Brakes-feel good; Body style-it's growing on me; Warranty-inferior to competitors; Dealers (I visited three)- unimpressive. Overall, if this car ages well then it's likely the best combination of comfort, features, performance, room, and efficiency around. So far, so good.

I never thought I would like the Honda Accord. My wife always wanted one. I was a Volvo lover and have owned three of them in the past, but after test driving the 2003 4 door Accord, that was it. I was convinced on getting rid of our 99 Volvo S80 for a new Honda. Purchased one at Honda of Mckinney and the people there are great. A+ in my book. Can't say enough about the car. It is truly a fun car to drive. Only problem we found was a piece of trim molding on the right hand threshold of the door frame popped up. Dealer said to bring it in and they will fix it. Good buy Volvo, Honda here to stay.

Honda finally got it 100% right for this market. Great value for your money. I paid $25,900 for my Accord w/ Navi. Interior is clean and functional, and very roomy. Great layout of dials and switches (except moonroof switches). Exterior is clean, and growing on me. I have not liked Accord styling in the past. This is truly an outstanding deal for the money, and easily outweighs buying a more prestigious brand like a BMW 3 series, or Infiniti G35, which is what I was originally interested in.

I keep wondering why I didn't buy a Honda sooner. The four door EX with the four banger sprints nicely. There is plenty of room for the family. On the first tank of gas we got 33 mpg on the highway as promised by the sticker. The handling is precise. The brakes are excellent. It has a sunroof, 6 disc in dash cd. And it looks great. Why did I insist on driving Fords, Olds, Pontiac and Lincoln for years? Who knows. Will I ever go back? Perhaps. Will I buy another Honda? Certainly. Oh, and don't forget the price. I drove away for the sticker price of 23k. Excellent.

Pickup is strong, and ride is very smooth. Moreover, trunk room is cavernous, while interior passenger room is adequate. The driver's seat, however, is extremely hard on my back, to the point where my back actually hurts when I get out of the car after a 15+ minute drive. I think theproblem stems from the fact that the lumbar is not adjustable on the LX, and so it sticks into the small of my back. For the money I paid, the lumbar should be adjustable, not fixed according to some notion which the Honda engineers have as to how "most" people sit. This makes the car VERY unpleasant to drive. And this is not due to a pre- existing back problem.

I traded a 2000 Camrey and couldn't believe the difference; and, the Camrey was a good car... I've had BMW 5 series and Audi A6 owners ask about and look over the Accord and when they heard the price they just walk away shaking their heads.

I was drawn to the Accord because of its reputation for quality, reliability, and fun-to-drive nature. I am so glad I bought this car! It drives like a MUCH more expensive car. The interior is stunning, with awesome LED gauges. The build quality is top-notch. The Accord has such a solid feel and sound when you close the doors and trunk. The 4 cylinder is plenty peppy for commutiing and has no problem cruising at 90+ mph. The car is so solid and quiet. The 5spd. auto is absolutely seemless The seats are probably the most comfortable I have ever sat in for a car under $60K.

I wanted to upgrade from my '96 Civic and looked at several cars. I looked at price and reliability. This car had the best price/features/reliability. The small details are great. When you turn off the pull out the key, the interior lights come on. The door ajar idiot light tells you which door is ajar. The center console armrest pulls out so short people or people with long arms can adjust the console. I like the large knobs for the stereo/ air conditioner although they took some getting used to.
