GrayEXV6
This is a great car so far. Just took it on a 1,000 mile trip and it was very comfortable and fun to drive. The V6 is fast, quiet and smooth. I plan on driving this EX for many years.
I like this car
I wanted a truck, but my budget wouldnt allow it. I wrecked my 95 Accord. Hated the car. Its a good car, its just a car. I like trucks, but my job requires I drive a car. (realtor) I reviewed the Camry. Great car. I drove the new Accord and fell in love. So smooth and quiet. Tons of room. Got a great deal. Its even fun to drive. And it moves. Its no race car, but I was going 100 mph without realizing it. You cant even feel the gears changing. Buy one. Now.

Didn't get a G35
Was planning on getting a G35, decided to test drive at the honda dealership across the street. got a loaded EX V6 for about $8000 less. Does not have the same perfomance but very close and much more affordable in the short term and long term, no premium fuel for 240hp!!!. The car is beautifully crafted inside and out. Very responsive engine and decent handling.
So Much for Honda Reliablity...
This Honda is the second one I've ever owned. And may be the last I'll ever own. I had an Acura before, worked beautifully. So I thought hey, let's buy an Accord. So very disappointed. After taking it to the local dealer and had them swap the wiper motor (factory recall) the LCD display for the clock/temp/cd info stopped working. Every time we hit a bump it'd go in and out. Transmission is NO GOOD. Slips in 2nd and 3rd. And twice quit working all together on the Highway, so very dangerous when suddenly you just lose drive power all together. Don't look to customer service for help, nope, they won't do a thing for you. Car was under 100K miles. I mean come on.
A car so many will buy....
Honda did a excelent job at the new 2003 Accord... There is no other car in its class with such a well thought out interior design. And it bests some cars that are way out of its class.
New Honda
We love it. I have a Mercedes Benz S500 and this car seems better made for 1/4 the cost.
Honda Hits It Out Of The Park - Again
I could not be happier with my new Honda Accord V6. This car is a complete overhall of the Accord and one won't be disappointed with what they've accomplished. They've provided more horse power without sacrificing fuel economy. The new dash board layout is very functional and user freindly. The transmission shifts very smoothly. There is also more space in this Honda Accord than previous models. If you're interested in an Accord, I recommend checking it out....I bet you'll end up with it in your driveway.
2003 Honda Accord LX
Pick this car up yesterday and drove 40 miles home. Very smooth driving, comfortable and made me feel like royalty!
My First Impression, 2003 Accord
My car is brand new, however, it pulls to the right. I suspected the front end needed alignment. The reseller, however, stated that Honda is aware of a torque steer problem. I am anticipating a recall. Otherwise, this is a very impressive re-birth of the Accord!
Honda Family
After waiting with anticipation for the new Accord to arrive I was not disappointed. Our last new accord was purchased in 1991 and currently has 195,000 miles and going strong. The new Honda has been elevated to a higher class car than in the past. Test drove the 160hp 4 cyl and found no need for the V6. Fell in love with the EX, Desert Mist with Leather. Added a wing and tinted the windows, SHARP !!! Son now drives the 91, Daughter drives a 97 Civic EX and now the new 2003. OK, OK so we're hooked on Hondas. Looking forward to many years of fun from this one. Go buy one, you'll get hooked too.
Radio, Wipers Trans and Brakes
Just had the lights go out on the radio, Honda repaired free, good for 105 K miles or 7 years. Also got the wiper recall done. Trans recall was done at 24K. Only repairs were for brake disks which have been replaced 2 times for rear and once for front. Bought ceramic last time, hope they last more than 40K miles. Only other repair was for heated seat relay fixed under warranty. This is my 3rd Accord.
2003 Accord
Great car...fun to drive and feels very safe.
AMAZING!
The new Accord is fun to drive! I have only had mine for 2 weeks, but I love it! The interior is amazing. Much better than the camery and altima. With 240 HP, you kinda get the idea why I find this car so fun to drive.
1st time honda buyer
fantastic vehicle. very solid driving performance and handling, rivals BMW 3 series. Very impressive passing power. Trunk is on the small side, but more than adequate.
Great new design, great new car
I purchased my new Accord in mid-sept. I had to wait a couple of weeks for the car to come in because the EX 4 cylinder in leather with 5 speed was not available at any local dealerships. It was worth the wait. The interior is well designed and beautiful. Fuctional, yet it feels like driving a Lexus.
One Hell of a car
I have owned a 1990 Honda Accord Ex and 1996 Civic Ex and find the newly designed Honda V6 to be the best yet. With a 240 horsepower engine it can compete with the Infinity G35 and BMW 530I. This car is worth every penny and more.
Awesome Car
Not only the greatest Honda I've ever owned, but also the greatest car I've ever owned. I looked at 7 different makes/models and was prepared to spend more to get exactly what I wanted. Fortunately, I got everything I want (and then some) in this car. Super V-6 engine -- before I know it, I've gone from 50 to 85 mph with no effort. Fabulous interior, more comfortable seats than any in my home. Can't say enough good things about this vehicle.
Luxury/dependability for under 30 K!
I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with this car! We have found it to be a perfect formula of handling, horsepower, torque, fit and finish, comfort, quality, and price. Trust me when I say I looked at EVERYTHING on the market. This Accord won hands down. I'm VERY impressed with this car, and I'm not easily impressed.
Great Family Sports Sedan
I'm writing this review because Edmunds.com was such a valuable source of research when I was car shopping, and I wanted to return the favor. We recently bought a used 2003 Honda Accord EX v6 with 72,000 miles. Immediately I was struck with the aggressive acceleration of the Accord - this car is fast! I had driven Hondas in the past and always loved how tight they feel, both on road handling and interior components. Everything feels well considered and integrated. I bought this car primarily for my wife for her daily use. I drive it on long road trips (just logged 1,000 miles on the last one), and feel it is perfectly suited for our needs, reliable, safe (for when we have kids) and fun!
my 1st month
great car - lots if power good handling- one flaw from factory - hate i had to pay sticker
Honda Saved My Life
I bought a brand new 2003 Honda Accord LX Sedan on November 1, 2003. On November 7th I was in a wreck and totalled my car. The Police at the scene told me that my car saved my life. I just bought another 2003 Honda Accord. This time I went with the EXL Sedan. I love everything about this car. Move over Lexus. My boss just bought a GS300 and my Honda has all the same features and comfort of his Lexus at a much more reasonable price. It's a great car!!!!
Drove it, Bought it, Love it
This Accord just keeps on getting better. Smooth, quiet, and peppy 4 cyl engine. Leather seats are the best! You MUST splurge on the leather. Nimble handling, quick bite on breaks, feels the road. Price is great considering all the options. Just feels like a luxury car inside! Limited road noise and wind noise. This car is perfect if you have no illusions that it's a "sport sedan" like the editors on Edmunds. That's just marketing hype. The Accord is a flat-out great car at a great price.
2003 Accord Review
This is a fun-to-drive 4-door sedan. It has great handling, a quiet ride and a kick-butt stereo. I was thinking of buying a VW Passat. I'm glad I made the choice I did.
Great Car
I've only had this car for a couple of days now, but so far I love it. I traded in my 2002 Accord Coupe (EX- V6) for the 2003 4 door EX V6 model. I am so glad that I did. The improvements on the new models are wonderful. The shift points are a lot smoother, and the acceleration is awesome. The front end will take a little getting used to, but overall I am very pleased with my decision.
My First 3 days
My 2k Impala LS finally did me in. After 30 trips to the dealer and an unsuccessful lemon claim (GM only gave me 3G's) I decided to trade my Impala in for a new Accord. I thought I would miss the typical American design and drive feel, but I was mistaken. The new Accord lets me forget about my big American car real fast. I love driving and looking at this baby. I have a T/White with leather and it's awesome. The drive, the look, the comfort can't be beat! I just have a huge feeling that this car will not let me down like the 2k Impala.
Best Accord Ever!
I just traded a 2001 3.2 CL for my new 2003 Accord. I had interior room issues with the CL, but the new Accord sedan has so much room. I've owned several Accords in the past, but this car is the best ever. Why would anyone want to buy an Acura TL when you get all the same amenities for less money. I have an Accord EX with leather and the 4 cylinder 160HP engine. This car has as much pep as my 6 cylinder 225HP Acura CL. I would advise you Aura owners to take a look at the new 2003 Accord.
WHAT A GREAT CAR!
I SHOPPED 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO PURCHASING MY 03 EX V6 IN REDONDO RED PEARL. I DROVE THEM ALL, NOT SURE OF WHAT I WANTED. SUBARU WRX, INFINITI G35,LEXUS ES 300 ETC. I SAW THE PREVIEW OF 03 ACCORD ON EDMUNDS AND DECIDED TO WAIT UNTIL THEY CAME OUT. I'M GLAD I DID THIS IS ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE BEST CAR DEAL GOING FOR UNDER 30K. CURRENT OWNER OF 97 CAMRY. THIS CAR IS MILES AHEAD IN TERMS OF BUILD QUALITY AND POWER. LOVE THE 5SPD AUTOMATIC. KEEPS IT IN POWER BAND, UNLIKE 02 ACCORD V6, DOESNT HAVE TO DOWNSHIFT. HONDA IS REALLY CLOSE TO GERMAN CAR BUILD QUALITY WITH THIS ONE. GO GET ONE WITHOUT HESITATION!
My 3003 Honda EX V6 experience
Purchased my Honda in December of 2002. My family has had six Hondas, and they have all been good reliable vehicles. I probably will won't live long enough to wear it out
Perfect 10
The new '03 Accord is without exception head & shoulders above its competition and has become the BMW of its class. With its new design, luxury interior and exceptional performance and handling it has become an unfair comparison to its competition.
First Honda
Decided on the 2003 EX-6 after extensive comparison of Altima 3.5 and Maxima GLE. Altima maybe has a flashier look, but EX-6 beats it on handling and interior quality. Engine performance about the same. Plus ins. and walk out price lower for the Honda. I'm thinking resale will probably be higher too.
2003 Honda Accord EX-L 5M
Just purchased a 2003 Accord EX-L 4-door 5-speed (manual) with 4 cylinder engine. Graphite gray ext., gray int. Only "option" was rear spoiler as it came with model on lot (dealer included at no cost). MSRP was $23,800, invoice $21,600, paid $22,400. Shopping internet makes buying much more pleasant. Car is beautiful and fun to drive. Didn't think extra $$$ was worth it for V6. Best car for the money as far as I can tell. Compared to Passat, Altima and 626 when shopping. Traded in a 1991 Mazda Protege. Looking forward to 12 years out of the Accord, too!
Great Ride!
Mine gets 30-31 mpg. Never had a problem, have 87,000 miles on the odometer. Mine is a 4 banger and it has all the power I need and I drive on I-45 (one of the busiest freeways in Houston) and I can get on the freeways without a problem. Great car!
Great Car
After driving Altima (quite decent car) for almost 3 yrs, we feel wonderful about driving new red EX-V6 sedan. Everything is near perfect (see suggestions below that could make it perfect :) - smooth, fast, powerful, quiet (except for tire noise). Simply, the best young family car.
Test Big 3 (Accord, Camry, Altima)
My wife and I have test driven all three. Before the test drives we were set on the Camry. Now the Altima and Camry are not even blips on our radar. The 2003 Accord is far and away the best of the three. The performance, amenities, and look are all perfectly balanced. The Camry has reliability, but nothing else that stands up and grabs your attention. The Altima has power and looks, but the interior is weak. The Accord has perfected the balance of all three major features.
Very reliable
I bought this being 5y.o. at 75K mi.I own it for 2 years now with 100Kmi. Only very minor problems. Recently the light inside won't come on when doors open. Seems to be loose wire contact. Very pleasant to drive. I'm glad I didn't read this review before I bought it. I live in Las Vegas, so perhaps the car lasts longer in the mild climate.
A Joy to Own
I looked at Camry, Altima, Avalon, Passat and new Honda. Sat in 2003 Honda and loved the new design. After I test drove, I knew it was the car. FUN to Drive. Quick and felt silky smooth. The interior feels like a luxury car. Can't say enough how nice it is. I agree Honda could have added heated windows and a cassette player ($200+ option). Some of us still have old tapes.
I really really REALLY looked around
We picked up our 03 Accord last Thursday and we had a blast with it all weekend. We drove on interstates, twisty two lane country roads, and city streets. We found the Accord to be the perfect fit for us, and by doing some VERY intense bargaining we got it for about $1200 under sticker. The fit and finish are excellent. The transmission perfectly programmed, with plenty of power in all bands. One small paint flaw from factory. Interior is a dream! Beautiful leather and very well appointed!
More Accord than Ever
This is by far the best Accord ever made. Honda took a great car and made even a better one. Not only does it drive better, it really looks very good. It was meticulously designed to fit anyone in the cockpit area. This is a winner all the way around. A tremendous advantage over Altima, Camry and Passat, when you consider standard options, reliability, performance, comfort, technology, and style.
Amazing Car
This car drive great. Has more than plenty of power. Most of all, this car has great safety features. Honda has created a great car. Also, McConnell Honda in Montgomery made purchasing this case a pleasure.
Best car I've owned
No problems in 75000 miles. Incredibly dependable and fuel efficient. I replaced the brakes at 70000 miles but had no other issues. We drove from Atlanta to Jacksonville, Florida several times and averaged 30 MPG at 70 MPH. I'm only selling it because we bought an RV and a Chevy Van to pull it and no longer need the Honda. We'll be sorry to see it go.
Honda Accord 2003 LX
Nice design and fun to drive
Honda does it again!
My new 2003 Honda Accord is amazing. Everything you need is here...the engine has major pep, the interior is driver friendly, the styling is new and very chic, and the performance and dependability is there. What else do you need?
Sweet car
The reliability of these cars can't be touched. Why buy American? The last Dodge I owned was a mud motor! I also owned an Oldsmobile, what a joke! I've had my Honda over 2 years and no problems. Brakes and battery yes, but normal on any car. I also owned a Nissan maxima for over 10 years! Only normal wear and tear. Although I must say Chevy trucks are the best! Fords have horrible trannys! If not for Chevy I would only buy Honda or Nissan. I hope this info will help you when shop around.
Great Car!
This car is really nice. We purchased the V-6 and love it. The car handles like the Toyota Avalon and other luxury automobiles. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a fun, reliable and luxury like car.
Excellent Car, Great Value
Bought new and has been a great value and still fun to drive. Efficient yet powerful enough to daily commute. I've tracked every tank of gas for this car... averages 33 MPG with a 5 speed manual transmission. Replaced front brakes and original tires at about 72,000 miles. Still original rear brakes. Only two problems - catalytic converter and O2 sensor. No other problems. Overall, a great driving experience.
best family car I've ever owned
I've had my 2003 Accord nearly 7 years and it is by far the best family car I've ever owned (I've had many). I have *never* had a problem with it -- just regular maintenance. The design is a good balance of power, fuel economy, comfort. A little boring to drive compared to my sports coupe, but that's because it's a family sedan, no fault of its own
2003 Accord, Very Impressive
Took delevery this week on 2003 EX-L Sedan. Dark Blue/Grey Leather. Very quiet, good acceleration, Great Stereo (six disc indash), Large sunroof, Fit and finish excellent. Look and drive one, and you will see why its a top seller in past years, and will be again.
we love it
We love this car. We actually went in to purchase the pilot and decided to test drive the v-6 accord. We got three blocks from the dealer and both said "we want this car". Loaded with features comparible to luxury sedans. We had driven an audi A4 earlier this week as well and enjoyed the honda just as much. We also negotiated a great price (not far above invoice).
New owner
Just bought a 85k used accord 2003 ex,i ddnt even reach home an routers started screeching had multiple problems with car but all minor.I am bit scared after reading evrybodys review of radio display, transmission, moonroof leak problems hope and just pray it doesn't trouble me more.
Improving On Perfection
Nothing like the previous Honda Accord. My 4 previous cars were new Acuras(Honda). Auotmotive perfection. A Japanese Rolls Royce!!. Acura really has nothing over this car except the NSX which is also a Honda!
