Used 2002 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
PRACTICAL and SMART
I loved this cute little coup. This car was perfect! VTEC engine was very peppy...I was in a car accident last week where I was rear-ended at a stop light. The person that hit me was in a similar size car and was going about 35- 40 mph. The whole trunk area crushed in like it is supposed to. I walked away from the accident the other driver was taken via ambulance. The car is likely to be totaled but I think Honda's crush/crash zone safety features saved me from injury! Now I will probably get another Honda. But not at Landmark Honda... they were miserable to deal with.
Nice EX V-6 Coupe
Bought my EX-V6 coupe about six months ago and do not regret my decision. Have owned two Hondas previously, a 1993 and a 2001, both four cylinders. You can really tell the difference in the V6, much smoother at idle, much quieter, and easier to go around town. Get about 25 on the highway and about 20 in the city. The interior is very nicely laid out, everything is very clear and easy to reach. The auto climate control, sunroof, and leather sport seats add a lot of comfort. The trunk is large enough for many golf bags. The exterior is very nice looking as well, especially with the spoiler and exhaust tips. Just need some fogs. All I need is some better tires, way too loud.

Please add some more metal!!!!!!!!!!
This is my 3rd Honda Accord and have had no major mechanical problems, but the sheet metal is so thin I feel like I'm riding in a cola can. My Accord has so many dents and dings from rocks and such and some of the rock chips are starting to rust. This is ridiculous!! It is a year old and rust? My Pontiac is 3 years older has twice the rock chips and no rust. Also my Pontiac has no dings. I switch off driving both cars for the same commute. Earth to Honda --- USE BETTER SHEET METAL!!!!!!!! I will never buy a honda again -- the quality has continually degraded with each accord release!
accord ex v6
It's powerful, edgy and fun to drive. It is home away from home.
This car is fabulous!
Ok so I move to Montana and did a lot of car reviews and found this Honda Accord that was just the right price. I absolutely love the car it now has 60,000 miles on it and I have not had one problem in this past year. To keep a car in good shape you have to have regular maintenance. For ex. Oil change, tranny fluid flush. Up keep. Hondas are so reliable and I could not be happier with it. People have problems with cars if they don't take care of them. I love my car!
Honda Accord 2002 EX V6 Poor Car
In June, 2002 I decided to upgrade and get the top of the line Accord. What a mistake. I have 7000 miles on the car and to date have had the steering column and transmission replaced. If Honda is known for quality, I'd hate to see the product of the other manufacturers. Horrible car.
Second Honda, and Very Satisfied
I recently purchased a 2002 EX V6 Coupe for my daughter in college. I researched several vehicles in our price range including VW and Toyota. I was very happy with the price and service that I recieved from my local Honda dealership. The car is increadable, I added the spolier which gives the car a nice sportier look. At this point I have nothing but praise for this vehicle.
Transmission only lasted 25,000
WOW! This is only car I ever had that only lasted 25,000 miles. The transmission went out at 25,000 miles, yes it was covered but that is just not right. Proble is that was not the only proble I had with this car. Good luck if you buy one.
New Transmission at 8K
I always thought the Honda Accord was a reliable vehicle until I purchased my Accord with a V-6. Transmission started clunking at around 4K and the dealership told me this was normal. At 8K the transmission failed and Honda replaced it. Now after 1K with the new transmission it is making a clunking sound again every time I back up! The dealership is telling me this is normal again! I am going to unload this lemon before I need another new transmission. Will never buy a Honda again!
I will never buy a Honda again
I am on my 3rd Honda. My 2002 Accord only has 76,000 miles on it and the transmission went out. Cost me $3000.00 prior to that I had to replace the timing belt - had an oil leak also the master cylinder! Total in the past 4 months a whopping $4500.00. No recalls to speak of and HONDA AMERICA wouldn't do anything to assist. I have all my service records and always go to the HONDA dealership for repairs. HONDA has lost me as a customer forever.
