A solid work truck, not a daily driver
As I said in the title, I didn't and wouldn't choose this truck as my casual daily driver. The ride is definitely a more bouncy, "vintage" truck ride compared to the 1500, F150 or similar class trucks. It's also large and not the most maneuverable. The hood is wide and long which affects front visibility. That said, I am very happy with this truck. I pull a 7x18 work trailer with this truck at a little over 3,000 lbs. It doesn't even break a sweat, and the adjustable tow mirrors are great when backing it in. I have the cloth type seats which are actually pretty comfortable for a lower trim. I have the larger screen infotainment which is excellent when using navigation. The ergonomics are good overall. The column shifter seems to be designed for a light touch, so it feels a little flimsy at first, but I got used to it. The multipro tailgate is a cool feature, though admittedly I don't really use it much yet. I will suggest getting running boards, because it is a very tall vehicle. I'm 5'7" and before I put on some aftermarket drop steps, It was a little bit of a hop to get into the cab. There is ample power from the gasoline engine for my needs. It wasn't worth the added cost to go diesel, but if you are towing heavier loads then it may make sense. All in all, there's a lot of convenient features and it was an upgrade from my 2013 1500 series that I traded in. It's a great overall package for a work truck. I just wouldn't want to have to deal with grocery store parking lots or parallel parking as your only vehicle.

Loving it!
Purchased my 2024 GMC 2500 Duramax Denali ultimate in February 2025. It was a demo, and 10k off MSRP plus had a bed cover and other cool additions. I got it at Sangster GMC in Wenatchee, WA where I’m retired and reside. I got a decent and fair trade on my old truck and the deal was so professional and respectful. No crazy games. I recommend getting the extended warranty which I was able to negotiate the price which made the deal even sweeter. I really wanted to buy from Sangster as they have been in business over the past 50 years and they are a huge part of our community here. I love this truck including the total look and stance of it. I love the larger touch screen and the auto start too. I’m planning to tow a 27’ travel trailer. The truck can tow it no problems with the torque from the 6.6 L diesel engine. I like the interior design and the exterior slate gray color pops with the beautiful chrome grill. It came with the 20” wheels and Goodyear A/T tires which I love as well. I’m 64 years old and this truck is my dream ride. Driving it with the radio playing reminds me of cruising in high school. Did I mention the turbo boost can push you back in your seat! The other day I was driving with my gal and the classic rock playing on Sirius XM and I thought it doesn’t get any better than this… I feel for those who haven’t had such a positive experience, but I love my truck and am grateful for owning and driving it. Thank You GMC!👍🏽♥️
