2023 Sierra Elevation Got the 4cyl 2.7 turbo not really recommended for towing , that's ok cause I don't plan to tow anything anyway but they had to include a $350 trailer brake controller. The there is that Bull Sh-- 3 part not easy to fold down tailgate... the designer of that should get a slap up the side of the head... and last but not least $70,000 for a new truck but no Owners manual ... they say, get an up to date smartphone and download the App for it... really ? GM you SUCK ! Update: Salesman negotiated with head of sales and finally got me the Owners' manual.

Gm missed the boat
Visibility is the issue both front and rear. Forward you cannot see the end of the hood due to the tappers slope. Backing up is just as bad due to the tapered mirror ,instead of being straight across the bottom and it deceiving reversing looking in the mirror due to the box tappers in length ways giving a false impression where the back of the box or tailgate is .

2023 GMC Sierra Elevation
In July 2023 I bought the 2023 Sierra Elevation because I totaled my 2021 F150 Hybrid. Needed a tow vehicle quick. It's a beautiful truck and I towed with it once without any issues. It has plenty of power with its 5.3L V8 engine. It also rides nice. But if I had to do it again I wouldn't buy it. I bought it as a tow vehicle and thought it had a 9500 lb towing capacity, but found out afterward its only 9300 lb towing capacity. After buying it GM would not sell me towing mirrors even though you can order the truck with them. Ended up buying Boost towing mirrors which aren't as good as GMC's towing mirrors.Went to plug in my trailer backup camera. It doesn't have a cigarette lighter plug. Had to buy a USB adapter to cigarette lighter plug. But how long will a $6. adapter last. The gas tank is too small and should be bigger for a truck with the towing package. It didn't have a break controller so the dealer installed a Curt Spectrum break controller, which is to complicated for me.The thing that really gets me is it is terrible on gas. Especially during the winter. The Automatic emergency breaking is useless, it won't stop the truck if someone stops in front of you.I won"t trust my life on it, it's only a warning light on the dash. When I first bought the truck the radio would go dead for no reason, but would work the next day. That has went away. For a $58,690. truck it's disappointing how little GM equips them with, especially for safety. My Wife $38,000. Kia Sportage has more equipment and will stop you on a dime if someone stops dead in front of you.The one thing I will say is I haven't had a recalls like I had on the F150 or things going wrong. I think I'm going to go back to a F150 Hybrid. Won't buy another GM vehicle, especially they refuse to make a hybrid.
