Just got the 2021 GMC Canyon Evolution Edition and I already regret it with only 1000 miles on it. The ride and the seats are extremely uncomfortable. The Seats are stiff and the lumbar support is more of a butt support. This is really bad for someone with a bad back and is horrible for longer trips. The suspension is very tight and you feel every bump. I imagine I will have to have both replaced. The V6 is strong but the exhaust tone is very noisy and I already have a ticking sound in the engine. Speaking of sounds or lack there of. The radio is a mess. It makes up its own mind on what to play and at time there is no sound and when that happens the turn signal also has no sound. It seems to happen mostly when in a heavy rain, but of course there nothing for the mechanics to find. There is plenty or road sounds though if you need something to listen to. The seal on the driver door lets in a nice air whistle. Chevy and GMC truck have been known for having electrical issues. It doesn't even haul well. the bed is nice but if you get a Canyon get the quad cab! The extended cab is almost useless. The hidden storage under the seat is nice for the rear head rest that block your rear view. The 4 wheel drive does not shift right and this isn't my first 4wd. It does not do the automatic at all when when you shift it usually will not engage for the first few time you try it. They have a better system on the sierra and they didn't use it and I don't know why. The truck looks nice from the outside. Mine is white with the black trim and the spray bed liner is good but the truck doesn't even have power mirrors and since the mirrors don't stay in place that get annoying. I know its more of a pain to park a F150 or a RAM 1500 but go that route or buy a Denali edition. The Bigger trucks actually get better fuel and have bigger gas tanks. Other wise just stay away from the Canyon (by extension the Colorado) unless you get a high end edition with lots of bells and whistles.
