Issues with the engine light

I purchased a 2025 GMC Acadia for my wife and after a few months, the engine light came on. It was taken to the shop, and the mechanics haven’t figured out what to do. Some kind of specialist looked at it, and was able to turn the light off. About a week later it came back on. It’s skipping a little while traveling at a constant speed down the road.
