best value I've seen in a long time
Big, comfortable, big cargo, VERY GOOD TECH, and smooth rolling down the highway. Very quiet cabin, though when you hit the I4 Turbo it lets you know it ramping up to speed. I read it is underpowered, but with 328hp, I wasn't convinced it was. Recently had it out on the interstate and it has plenty of power...too much from coasting along at speed limit, and then without knowing it wants to go 15mph more and climbing. The tech is super, and I own another car with the Google built in...so go for the annual $200 subscription for all the features, its great. (also, it has a ton of built in tech without the subscription) I'm not used to driving this big of an SUV, so the 360degree camera is useful too. At the price, I really haven't seen anything close, and I have owned many luxury euro cars and SUVS. 2024 GMC Acadia has it all!

All looks, no power
Beautiful vehicle with a very refined interior and if that's enough for you this is your ride. However, if you want something that has power and you can count on to accelerate effortlessly, stay away. GM made another huge mistake with the pathetic 4 cylinder engine (which they claim has 328 hp). It whines like a little 4 banger and does not have the power necessary to pull a large, heavy vehicle like the Acadia. Overpriced and underpowered...not a combination I'm interested in. Try harder GM.

Close to being perfect for me, with one big issue
I traded in my 2024 Canyon, which was perfect, except I missed the enclosed cargo space and overall space of a larger SUV. So I made the trade. And believe me, this thing is just about perfect. The one major oops I'm struggling with is the footrest pedal for the driver, and that is why I took away a star. For whatever reason, it's pushed into a place differently from the Canyon. The one inch difference in leg room between the two isn't a deal breaker, but the positioning of this foot rest pedal is a major issue for me. It's like it's pushed over towards the brake further than in the Canyon. As for everything else, yes, it's not going to break any drag race records. And it isn't going to be the kind of car you can expect to drive like a race car. Does it get you and your cargo/passengers from home to wherever and back, comfortably? Absolutely! And if you were to get stuck somewhere in a muddy mess or snow, would you be able to out of that mess? Absolutely! I purchased the AT4 version. It is smoother on the kidneys and other organs than the Canyon AT4. So you get the benefit of off road capability, if needed, as well as having an SUV. It's nice. It's a tank. Recently took an 8 hour road trip, and found in AWD mode I was getting 22 mpg going 75mph. When at 70mph, I was at 23mpg. And when doing 55-60mph, I was getting 23 or 24mpg. Around a surburban environment with lots of stoplights, hills, turns, stops/starts, etc. it's more like 17-18mpg in AWD mode. In FWD mode, it's more like 20mpg. I like having AWD on because that is why I bought one in AWD, maybe the tires are slippery from the car wash, maybe oil on the road, etc. So I leave it in AWD mode. Sports mode is helpful on twisty/turny roads, yes, but overall it isn't a race car - it's too big and too heavy to handle these things at a higher rate of speed. So, it may be a sports car, or a race car, but it's not supposed to be that. Simply put, it's a larger SUV that drives and responds better than a real big SUV (a.k.a. Tahoe/Yukon) but has the space inside that feels like you have one of those larger SUV's, and you get better MPG. You will find that for an average driver, doing average things, not an off roader or a sports driving enthusiast, that this will provide all of your needs being met. I've got 1600 miles on in just a couple of weeks and have to say I'm really happy, sans the footrest pedal thing. Early on I had received a TPM error and that happened two times on the same drive, high speed turnpike. They cleared themselves. Has not happened since. The steering wheel seems a bit off to the left in terms of not being centered when wheels are centered, but hard to tell if this is an alignment/assembly issue, or if it is just the bigger tires hitting the road in an unusual way. Speaking of tires, the large OEM tires on the AT4 model are worth it just for those. Why? Pothole protection. You simply don't need to panic about potholes, especially if you normally hit them. It handles them with ease. Same tires and size wheels as the Canyon AT4. Beefed up suspension as well. No issues with potholes. That alone really does make it worth it to get the AT4 version. It's raised up a bit from the Denali/Elevation trims, but not enough to make getting in and out a chore. Note that the interior space on this is much bigger than the Canyon, when speaking about the passenger spaces. Headroom, seat width, shoulder room, etc. The Canyon is good, but this is even more comfortable to spread out. As a large guy (5'11") and 350lbs, I can comfortably fit in the 2nd row captains seats without a struggle or having to move the front seat forward. The seats are larger and the legroom is good. You aren't fighting to get in/out as I have had trouble with just about everything else. The Canyon rear seats were emergency transport only, they had no legroom with the front seats back. With a 4Runner, I struggled to get in the back. Same with a Durango. Same with any other SUV. I didn't try the Tahoe/Yukon but assume that might be a bit easier. This gives you a decent amount of space, and is decently sized in regards to width on road, length, wheelbase, etc. to get many people where they need to go. Space behind the 3rd row seat is plenty for groceries, odds/ends, etc. There is a hidden storage area under that trunk area behind the 3rd row. So that is good for things you want to have but don't use alot, like flares, cones, etc. air compressor, etc. On top, I keep a jacket, and anything I need to take somewhere or bring home. I have yet to need to drop the 3rd row seat. Huge area once you do. The features, controls, etc. are all super easy to use. The one thing that I know the Canyon had, and this does too, is the lack of a headlight manual knob/dial. The headlights and foglights are only accessed through the electronic screen. And they are in different places. However, you can leave the headlights on auto, and if using wipers they will come on/off automatically too. The foglights need to be turned on manually through the electronic screen each time you wish to use them. They do help with filling in the lighting pattern when doing any night driving. One of the really nice features the AT4 has is little marker lights above the wheel wells. This year, and different from the Canyon AT4, these are clear until the lights are on and then you can see them. They are yellow, but since they are gray'd out during the day and not turned on, the look is slightly different from the Canyon AT4 which were always visible whether on or off, day or night. Reflectors during day, nights at light. These are just light at night, which is fine with me. You'll notice the lights all around this thing in and out, are LED's. Tail lights, backup lights, brake lights, 3rd brake light, headlights, turn signals, DRL's, eveyrthing. inside the lights are LED's too! I like finally having a vehicle has lights everywhere, and this has accent lights too - very slim lighting that comes across the dash, and on the front doors, not sure about back, but front for sure. The AT4 has a different look with smaller things like the trim around the grill, along the window frames, etc. as well. So you'll see some different things from the other trims when you look close. I have the sunroom that goes on for miles! It has a nice powered sliding shade that seals off light from the sunroof. The 2nd row captains seats feel top shelf, not too close to the other passenger. if that is not your intention, sit in the 3rd row which is bigger than any other 3rd row I've seen, but will allow you to sit closer to each other! It's hard to describe, but I have a feeling of this being the absolutely best vehicle I've had in the nearly 40 years since I started driving. Just having a problem with the drivers foot rest and haven't figured it out yet. I will though! And the extra space feels good too! cooled and heated front seats, HUD display, heated 2nd row seats with independent HVAC controls, etc. USB C chargers for passengers, even in the 3rd row. Don't short change this on your list of vehicles to search out if you are looking for a larger SUV. I have a RAV4 too, and that has become way too small for me over the years. I've gotten bigger due to health issues and that is unfortunate, but the extra space in the Acadia is appreciated! And with the Canyon and this, no issues even on very long trip

Love my 24 Acadia
I traded my 23 Yukon Denali in for the Acadia. It has good power with the four cylinder. The seats are way more comfortable than my Denali. It drives extremely smooth and the touch screen is great and responsive. The best part is the led and headroom my sons who are 6’5” and 6’6” love all the room. My son commented it had better headroom than his new Ram 2500.

DO NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE!!!
Please save yourself the headache and DO NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE!!! I bought a brand new 2024 Acadia Denali AWD in August 2024. On the way home from the lot I noticed a defect on the dashboard that had to be fixed through warranty. The cameras (backup and 360) only work half of the time. Now the rear blinker and brake light are not working due to electrical issue that has to again be fixed through warranty. This vehicle is a major headache. GMC should be embarrassed as this is very unprofessional grade. Very disappointed!
