Used 2008 Ford Taurus X SEL 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Great Car. Too bad they are no longer made.
This was by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. I serviced it when suggested. Outside of oil changes, tires and brakes, it required absolutely no major repairs. The vehicle was great for traveling with a family. It has tons of cargo room and is comfortable. It averaged between 19.5 - 21.0 miles to the gallon the entire life of the car. One of the top features is the third row seating. That came in handy in a multitude of situations.

New to me new
Just got my car in April, has about 90,000 miles on it. Love it! I traded in a Cadillac STS for it, wish I would have found this before the caddy. It all around is a better car than the cadillac was. I am getting usually 24 mpg highway, so very pleased with that. I cant believe just how much storage this car has, its awesome! Really quite noisy when going over bumps-my mechanic doesn't know why(thats a bad thing) and seats are not very comfy for longer trips :(

Taurus X-tra
Just three weeks and 1200 miles into our journey with the 2008 Taurus X. First, this is far better vehicle than last Taurus I drove. This Taurus comes equipped with confident steering and a much improve ride and enough cup holders for three families. Ride and feel are improved, fit and finish is generally very good. The all wheel drive will be welcomed when the weather changes and much to my surprise we averaged almost 25 MPG on a quick road trip, covering 600 miles. First impressions are important and so far we like the Taurus X so much weve got to give it an A. So, chalk one up for the blue oval guys, theyve made a good first impression with the Taurus X.
Timely Repairs? Come on Ford!
Purchased this lovely vehicle about a month ago. However, we have now discovered that two valves are leaking and the rotors need repair (@ 18000 mi.). I find it "interesting" that these were not repaired by the original selling dealership and we must now have it repaired under warranty by a Ford dealership! AND it is taking way too long for repair - 3 day repair time! Without even an offer for a loaner! What kind of customer service is that?!
I love it, too bad no one knows about it
I traded in an Outback for a 2008 w/ 14,500 miles. Though exterior styling is bland (this doesn't have too be a bad thing) everything else about this car is great. It handles well with good power. The interior is very sharp and the third row seating is actually usable and accessible. I consider AWD a must for Wisconsin winters and the seats fold easily for tins of space. there is even enough room for a decent amount of stuff with the seats up.
