Ranger XLT Blows the Doors off the Competition

I picked up a 2019 4x4 XLT with Sport and Off road package plus technology group in November of 2019. I watched the Edmunds review which seems to highlight road vibration. Mine has no road vibration and my passengers have commented how smooth the ride is. My price was under $35K with this vehicle packed with technology. First off, I'm 6'5" and amazed that I have ample headroom and legroom in this vehicle. Visibility is much better than the Ridgeline, in fact I sat in the Ridgeline one more time before I pulled the trigger on the Ranger. The Edmunds review preferred the Toyota, but being tall I can't sit on the floor which is what I find most uncomfortable about the Toyota. The Edmunds off road test failed to utilize trail control and the locking rear diff, which if you got um you should use them. They also found it frustrating that the ford when out of 4x4 Low when they came down the hill at too fast a rate. All which would have been handled successfully by Trail Control. My XLT has too many features to mention. In the end I looked for every reason not to buy a Ford, but I'm a logical person and it made good sense. Extremely happy with my purchase. I really wish reviewers would lose their brand bias.

We hade a 2013 ford escape with the eco-boost 2.0 which was very impressive . We decided to trade in the escape for a XLT Ranger. First impressions were the comfort, engine response, transmission shifting, safety features and driveability. I give the ranger thumbs up on everything except the gas mileage. The jury is still out on that. I only have 600 miles on the truck . I have been told that mileage will improve after break-in period (1500MI.) . We'll see. Overall my wife and love the truck.

2019 Ranger

I bought a 2019 Ranger Super Crew XLT 2wd and I am super impressed by the comfort, size, and power. These trucks are all grown up now. I have looked at the Canyon but not enough power. I looked at the Tacoma but the seating position is just weird and it had a harsh ride. My new ranger rides like a dream and with the 2.3L Turbo, this thing moves not to mention the 26mpg, and more safety features than all of the rest when you get the 301A package!

From a Hybrid to Truck Love

I have had a lot of vehicles over the years, the most recent being a Fusion Hybrid Titanium I've had for the last 5. We went looking for a Ranger for my husband and ended up buying one for each of us. I am a all option, comfort kind of girl and the Ranger look and feel impressed me. I gave up vented AC seats, a sunroof, mpg, and a power back seat but I truly feel it was 100% worth it. I've been driving this truck for a month now and it still makes me smile. The seats are more comfortable, the ride is better than I expected, the power is great, and the features have me forgetting that trucks aren't supposed to be that convenient. We did drive a Colorado and a Tacoma but the Ranger made them both look bad in interior comfort and design

Had a GMC Canyon verses the Ranger

I had a 2016 GMC Canyon it was leased, never considered buying it. It was loaded by GM standards, but the features are back to the the 60’s. No home link, when you could find the four wheel drive button it is hidden with the lights down out sight by left knee. The 4 wheel drive is not indicted on the dash. No blind spot mirrors at available. Blue tooth is awful. It is grossly underpowered in the Colorado mountains. The transmission can’t find the gear and stalls while shifting gears, gm claims this is normal, enough to attach a 5 page report when you have the truck serviced. The Ranger is great after 2500 miles, all the features are. Thought out with the driver in mind. Drive both and you will buy the ford. It is comfortable I am 6’4”.
