This vehicle has been very reliable. It's fun to drive and does great in the snow. It's comfortable but this may be the weakest point in this truck when driving long distance. The shoulder harness does not go low enough for a short person and hits me in the side of the neck. It's the only thing I don't like about this truck.

Love bumping over curves when I need to and the Ranger can certainly handle it without jolting you around in the cab. You'll love your Ranger truck and will think of it as a family member! Dependable - friend of mine has a 96 and never had a problem with it so I went to look and bought myself one as well. Rides like a car, looks good too.

Ford Ranger???

Let see, Two accessory belt changes by 19,000 mi. Torsion bars were miss aligned, had to return twice to get them to look at it and finally correct. Found damage to under carriage (probably during shipment) would not even look at or acknowledge. Another dealership, Beau Townsend Ford in Ohio, asked "You didn't buy it here did you?" When I brought it in for service. I wanted a Chevy S-10 ext.cab, but they went to only one seat in the rear on 2003, because of three door style. I dreaded buying a Ford, now I know why. They're service dept.'s are poor rated if you are in for warranty work, or didn't buy your truck from there. Never buy a Ford again.

Another Great Ranger

This is my second Ranger, and I have loved both of them. I upgraded to the Edge and love all of the additional bells and whistles (especially the sound system). My only complaint would be the gas mileage. I do more than the average driving, so I spend more time than the average at the pump.

I love the engine in this model. I bought it back in December of 2002 so it was one of the 1st out there and it has been great...all except for the fact that the only color I could get at the time was black. Ugh. Looks great but only right out of the car wash. Had black cars before and swore I wouldn't do it again. But it has been worth it. It handles well and accelerates better than a lot of cars or trucks. This one is a keeper.
