Used 2010 Ford Mustang Coupe Consumer Reviews
BEST CAR, HANDS DOWN
I have a 5-speed boy-toy! It is fast, pretty, and comfortable. This car will fly low and feel good at the same time. I got the updated interior (in red). It rides smooth, yet handles better than my old sports car. The interior features are much better than past mustangs; it is almost luxury grade. It is the best car I have ever owned in my 55 years. I tested BMWs, infinitis, mazdas, mitsubishis, audis, and lots more. Nothing, save a porsche (which costs twice as much) comes close in "fun-to-drive" and full features. The only let down was gas mileage, but what can you expect from a V-8 that has to be driven fast?!
I wish it were true
My 2010 GT Premium started life being scratched by the dealer before I got it. That took 5 days in total to fix. It now has less than 800 miles on it and it's been back in the shop twice. This last time, it's been two weeks. The problem was a major rattle coming from inside the dash. Only solution was for dealer to replace dash. Nearly two weeks and the dealer is waiting for the new dash to arrive from Ford. By the time I get it back I'm sure the new car smell that it had will have been replaced by the smells usually found in a service department. I wish I'd bought something else.

I'm a Chevy guy
I'm a hard core Chevy guy and have been waiting for the right time to buy a new Camaro. I've driven both the V6 and the V8 Camaro but something left me wanting and all the used Camaros on the dealer lots worried me. Out of curiosity I test drove the Mustang 2011 V6 and the current GT. The GT won hands down, it was pure love at first sight. The interior design was fantastic, the gadgets are cool, it's easier to drive and it's just an all out blast to drive.
Best Mustang of the 4 I've owned
Yes, I know, the 2011-up 5.0 is faster, but hear me out. The power/handling this car provides will NOT disappoint. Especially if you find a TrackPack version with the 3.73 gears, wider tires, and GT500 suspension like I did. Zero to 60 in under 5 seconds. The quarter mile in the mid 13s. Plus, great handling without a punishing ride. Styling inside and out is a big improvement over the 05-09 cars with a more muscular design and an upscale look and feel interior. The 9 yr old Nav/Infotainment system works better than on some newer cars I've owned. An easy clutch, smooth shifter (unlike the 6 speed manuals that followed), and reasonable mpg for a 315 hp V8 means this can be a flexible daily driver as well. I cant say enough about this car. It's exceeded by expectations. If you're shopping used 5.0s, its worth a look as a less expensive alternative. Three years later after this review, still loving this car! I added some exhaust modifications and a custom tune that really enhanced the power. I'd still highly recommend a 2010 to anyone looking for a late model Mustang GT. A year later and same opinion! With the power modifications I've done, I've closed the gap some on the performance between this and the 5.0. Although, I'm sure the 5.0 still has a stronger top end. Nothing crazy though, exhaust, intake, custom tune, pulleys, alum. driveshaft, and shifter. I also improved the brakes and suspension some, by using later Mustang GT and Boss 302 parts. Its really made it an all around great car. But, honestly, even mostly stock with just an axle back and a shifter, this was a real fun car. I'd still recommend a low mileage, not beat-on, version as a great used car. Prices have gone up with the insane used car market, but you can still save 3-5 grand on one of these versus a 2011 5.0. Another year, and still enjoying the car! I realize newer Mustangs have more power and tech features, but I think Ford really nailed the styling of the 2nd half of the S197 (5th) generation. The styling of more recent cars is not very appealing to me.

Better seats and move the cupholders...
I've owned seven Mustangs over the years, from all but the first generation. This is by far my favorite. Everything about the car is outstanding except how well the seat holds me in place when accelerating through corners, and the location of the cup holders directly behind the shifter with the manual trans. Other than that Ford has fixed every single complaint I've ever had about any of the other Mustangs I've owned over the years, an amazing car, Ford's best yet.
