Used 2006 Ford Mustang Consumer Reviews
Love My Stang
This is the best Mustang GT I ever owned; not has fast as my 1986 but it was not governed. At the age of 45 speed not that important but it looks good and feels even better.
Close but no cigar
Car is fun enough to drive, but having had the battery die twice in my garage, first time after owning it for two weeks, and again in June 09. Auto feature on windows most times work fine, but often only work one way and not always the same way. Air conditioning is poor most of the time. Didn't work at all once, took it to the dealership- told it takes time to cool off - I guess an hour is not long enough when it's blowing hot air. Next day it worked fine. Wouldn't take it on a trip in hot weather. Would not buy one again. Dealership charged me for an auto emission test, but not necessary if driven under 5000 miles in a year.

sounds like a can of loose rocks
I bought my 2006 mistake this month (04 - 2006), and really thought I was getting a good car, but every time I shift, it shudders and clunks as if the drivetrain is going to fall off the car. I took it in on 04-26-06 to have it checked out. They came back and said they called Ford's hot line and Ford told them to drive another Mustang with a 5 speed and see if it does the same thing Well it did, so Ford said that it is normal then, that they won't fix it because all the other v6 5 speeds make the same clunks on them, and if they get a lot of complaints on that, then they will research on that problem! Stay away from the V-6 5 speed.
One-Dimensional Boy-Racer
After reading the raves here and on some other sites, I sprung for this vehicle without even a test drive. Boy! That was a mistake! Now I'm stuck with it until I can save up for another vehicle. In a nutshell: Interior noise off-the-chart. Weird "What gear am I in?" transmission...the list could go on, but I don't have enough room.
Dont bother, save your money?
Bought my new Dec 05. Shaker 1000 CD went out at 30k. Starting problem continues to this day. Let it set for a day or two and it's dead? Now at 50k the rear bearing are out, another $1k repair job. Terrible riding car. Now I know why folks stop buying American cars, nothing but trouble. Never again.
