I have had so many problems out of my car. I have had my air intake replaced, my window motor replaced my throttle body replaced, my rpm's will go up by themselves while my foot is on the brake they have replaced the part once and now are saying that the problem is my driving not the car. My car has been in the shop more than i have had it on the road, and it is sad that Ford can't be competent enough to fix it.Consumer reports said that the 01 and 02 mustangs were the worst ones made and the ones with the worst problems. Well if anyone has had these problems email me and let me know it would be helpful.

This car is great meets all requirements. The only issue is that FORD stopped creating the Fuel Tank Sensor. That part has become obsolete and breaks easily after installing a new gas pump (above the gas tank). To replace this part I had to use from the PONY Mustang and don't know if this is an issue. I have noticed that the "Service Engine Soon" light came on about 2 months after replacing the part. Have not had a chance to check and I hope this is NOT the cause. Because if it is: THEN WHAT? Does this mean The GT Mustang is junk? It only has 72k miles and is in mint condition...

A Few Modifications =Great Car...

2001 Ford Mustang GT Deluxe 2dr Convertible (4.6L 8cyl 5M)

Fun to drive, great sound, perky performance & "in the breeze" option make this a great car... a great rendition of this icon! With a few performance modifications, improved suspension and better than "OEM" tires make this Convertible GT the car to own & drive. I could not be happier with it! Negatives: lacks headroom when the top is on, the neck support on the front seats are poorly designed and the car lacks cargo space. Biggest positive: the high performance, dress-up and aftermarket resources to personalize this car are ENDLESS!

It is a great car for your money worth. Bangs for bucks. Sure it doesn't have the power of the Camaro or Trans Am but doesn't cost as much either. And is still the more popular car of the GM brothers. That why it out sells both of them 2-1 and why they were put out of production in 2002. I have had no problems yet this car after 21,000 miles. It sure turns a lot of heads and is asked to be raced at the lights as well. This a great car to drive daily to work & fun. Although the GT is really a bad car in the snow or wet weather so have some kind of back up car for winter.

Outstanding high performance car for the money. Comparing to the other sports cars on the market, everything is either underpowered or overpriced for the product being purchased. The Ford Mustang GT is by far the most bang for the buck. I have been thouroughly impressed with the car!
