First timer for Ford

I have previously owned Toyotas- Corolla, Camry, and 4 Runner. I thought I would remain a Toyota loyalist until I test drove the Ford Fusion Hybrid. I haven't had it a full month yet, but I already average 38-40 MPG. I commute mostly highway and experience both great gas mileage and comfort. I never thought I would say I like an American car better than I liked my imports. You did it, Ford!!! Great job and continued success.

Very Impressed

My wife and I have had the car for about a month and half. No problems whatsoever. Car drives smooth and extremely quite. I honestly feel like I'm in a luxury car. We are very impressed w/what Ford has come out with. This is our first American car and we are very happy w/the decision we made. I really hope Ford builds on this generation of technology. We drove the Honda Insight imagine the handles like that of a beat up shopping cart at the market. You pay for what you get. Prius was nice and all but looks like a bad laboratory accident. I will say this MPG on 2010 Prius is better but it’s not a sedan. The Fusion Hybrid looks like a normal car. Congratz Ford on a job well done.

Luv my hybrid

We just returned from a 6600 mile trip to the East coat. The car was dream to drive, performance was great. We averaged 37.3 MPG round trip. We drove 75-85 MPH, we didn't expect great mileage as the car was heavily loaded with luggage and junk. We traded a Cadillac in to purchase this car, my wife reminds me that this "does not ride like a Cadillac. Overall we are very satisfied with the car. I made a contract with my wife: Drive the car for 6 months and if she is hot happy then go buy the Cadillac CTS. I think she will keep the Ford.

A hybrid that actually drives like a car

I replaced a large SUV (Expedition EL loaded) with this car since I was mostly using it for commuting to work (about 65 miles per day). I had been considering a replacement but until the Fusion came out there was nothing that made sense for me. I wanted creature comforts, a great ride, great mileage, and something that could handle merging onto a 70MPH HWY with short rising ramps. I test drove a number of cars and a few smaller SUVs and nothing came close to meeting my requirements. The build and materials quality is top-notch. The car is comfortable and quiet. I'm getting just over 37 real MPG driving normally. It has plenty of room. I could not be happier with it.

After my Acura finally broke down, it was time to get a hybrid. So far, everything has met expectations. While not a great performance car, it has adequate pickup and meets all other requirements of typical driving. The interior features are a step above what one would normally expect from a mid-price Ford. Sync, Sirrius with 30 presets, decent speakers, rear-camera, side-view warning, etc should go a long way to winning a new generation of Ford buyers.
