DO NOT BUY IT
This car has endless issues with the transmission. Not surprisingly no transmission shop will touch it because they are such a big problem that never seems to end. That of course leaves you with the dealership who is always so expensive. You can find an extreme amount of articles and reddit pages that all talk about the transmission issues. The Ford company is aware of these issues but will not place a recall on the transmissions because that would cost them an outrageous amount of money

Solid but with issues
The Ford Focus is reliable and solid. Has an excellent infotainment system and controls. So why is this car just meh? The power plant just does not deliver. It has a weak acceleration that just never seems to hook up. The engine just does not have any oomph. They left out the torque.

Sporty, ride great handling with new tires,
Strongest points were the handling and good pickup. Transmission was troublesome, causing three trips to the dealer, Third time they fixed it, but tranny was always a bit rough from first to second. Wipers sometimes stuck at top of travel causing two trips to the dealer., Loved the stereo, straightforward controls. Ride started to get rough after 50,000 miles,.Kept me safe in a crash.
