2016 Focus Titanium 55000 miles and no problems.

I purchased this Titanium Hatchback band new and after 55000 miles I have never had a problem either mechanically or cosmetically. I did have to have the transmission serviced for a recall but after that fix was performed no issues. I've kept mine super clean and have upgraded the stereo, rims and intake and the car still looks and drives like a brand new car. I thought about trading it in for a newer car but all the dealers I went to wanted to rip me off on my trade. Besides there is very little a newer car has that I don't already have and in many cases my car has more, especially when it comes to technology. I thing this car car gets a bum rap when it comes to reliability. Like I said except for the transmission recall I had 0 isssues. Admitally I do have the Titanium edition with the technology package, moonroof, etc. I would recommend this car.

UPDATE: FORD WILLING TO BUY MY JUNK CAR!

Traded in my 2015 Focus SE (sometimes lagging downshift acceleration, poor stereo) for a 2016 Titanium Hatchback. Persistent pull or drift to the left at times exacerbated by braking. Had grey goo on my sunroof, broken piece of plastic found in glove box on unknown origin. Slight squeak upon starting, rattle in in right front, sunroof buttons too small to push, tire (hum) noise, driver's seat is power but the back will not independently recline (no lever), Sony stereo needs more precise mids & highs adjustments. Window wash does not work on the highway, rain blurs drivers side mirror and window. Climate control intermittently turns on heat when you push AC, rear defrost does not work in winter until after the car warms up!! Update: I had the automatic transmission (clutch) replaced 3 times. I received notice from Ford of a Transmission Settlement, www.FordTransmissionSettlement.com 1) Purchase your car back through arbitration, 2) $2325 cash payment to go away, 3) $4650 toward a new car. Oddly why doesn't Ford replace the defective transmission rather offer to buy your car back etc. Ford bought the car back July 2019.

We own an Explorer, which we love!, but wanted to save on fuel economy as well as wear and tear on that vehicle. Having already owned 2 previous Ford Focus, including one other currently as an "extra", we knew that these are reliable cars and so decided to look for another. However, I am a little spoiled and so didn't want to give up any of my perks that we have in the Explorer. This car has it all: power moon roof, climate control, nice sound system, electric drivers seat, lovely leather interior. While this is not as spacious nor quite as comfortable to drive (or certainly ride in) as its big brother, we are very pleased! What little we gave up in comfort we are making up for in economy (40+ mpg average in my daily running). I seem to spend a lot of hours in this car and am enjoying it very much. Great value!

This car has endless issues with the transmission. Not surprisingly no transmission shop will touch it because they are such a big problem that never seems to end. That of course leaves you with the dealership who is always so expensive. You can find an extreme amount of articles and reddit pages that all talk about the transmission issues. The Ford company is aware of these issues but will not place a recall on the transmissions because that would cost them an outrageous amount of money
