Used 2007 Ford Focus Wagon Consumer Reviews
Reminds me of an ignored old house plant....
Update August 2022, This car just keeps going, and I just do the minimum repairs now. Its not perfect by any means but the AC still works, the HVAC is stuck on defrost and feet, only fan speed 2 works, needed a $60 rear wheel bearing a few months ago, and the motor mounts aren't the greatest, but it just keeps going getting 33-35mpg on the highway. Cheap miles and the gearshift and steering are still a pleasure to use. With the manual its quite engaging to drive, and its got a huge cargo space compared the other compact wagons. Its a good car for 55mph road commutes, mileage goes down and noise goes up above 65. Not a super easy DIY car, but youtube covers most regular maintenance. I don't think rear bumper reinforcements are made anymore so if you are buying be aware. You may have to repair the existing one or modify another to fit. Motor and trans are solid as far as I know, change the fluids on a reasonable schedule and the rest of the car should rust away before the motor or trans gives a major repair.

Lotta' bang for the buck
The Focus ST is more than the sum of its parts. The good; 0-60 in under 8 seconds. Effortless commuting & cruising. Superb handling with a Progress 22MM rear bar and Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires to replace the mediocre Pirellis. Rich, communicative feedback from the tight, responsive steering. Very responsive, torquey 2.3L engine. Comfortable on 6+ hour trips. Seats 4 full size adults comfortably. Slick shifting 5 speed manual with a light, smooth clutch. Huge trunk that gets bigger by folding seats. Comfortable, upright seating position. The bad; interior rattles & squeaks. Indifferent fit & finish, huge panel gaps. Below average fuel economy for the performance. 26 MPG w/73% hwy.

Never again
On the good side, this car is still running at 190,000 mi., but not without a ton of repairs. Parts are expensive. Most costly repairs so far was a bad steering column and air bag. Also noticed some design issues that make me wonder if the engineers intentionally made it difficult to work on. I used to be a believer in Ford, but not any more.

Ford Focus wagon owner
My 2007 Ford Focus SES wagon (manual) is the best car I ever owned. Very few repairs, and the only reason I'm getting an automatic is that my knee is bothering me when I use the clutch.
Great car for over 5 years
The parts are relatively cheap compared to new be cars. Mine was a good car, I might have been lucky. I did all maintenance as needed and did need to replace fuel relay switch, fuel pump, master cyclinder, brake light switch. I only wished it had better gas mileage. Mine was a wagon with all the bells and whistles.
