Used 2003 Ford Focus SVT Consumer Reviews
WOW!!! THIS IS IT!!!!!
Since owning this vehicle, I cant stay out of it! I look for excuses to go places. I am 44 years of age, this is my second Focus, my first a 2001 zx3 was also a great, and trouble free vehicle. I love the look of envy I get from all the neighborhood teen age kids when I pull up and they are messing with thier honda's ! Eat my dust!!!!
I love the Focus SVT!
I bought the car three monthes ago and I've been running with it ever since. The car handles great, is comfortable for long drives, and it is SO FUN TO DRIVE. I would definitely recommend this car for someone who loves the sporty handling and performance and wants a sensible car(tons of cargo space and pretty good on gas mileage for a performance car.) I LOVE MY SVT!!

Quick commuter car
After test driving several other econo- boxes I was feeling very uninspired. I was looking for resonable economy but fun-to-drive factor, too. After taking the Focus SVT 5-door for a test drive I was sold. Great handling and brakes, interior upgrade is far above typical econo-box fare, spirited engine response (at higher rpm). This car is great fun to drive, is smooth on the highway and is amazingly quiet at highway cruising speed. The SVT team did a great job on the suspension. It's firm, but not harsh, nimble, with little lean in the corners. So far, I'm very happy with this car.
A true sports car
Brisk acceleration, razor sharp handling, and crisp brakes that will haul you down like an F-18 landing on a carrier. All these traits embody a true sports car ethos. This car is an absolute BLAST to drive, and BEGS to be driven - even getting groceries is fun. Value is definitely at the top of the list. HID headlights, Traction Control, power moon roof, 6 speed silky-smooth transmission, heated Recaro leather seats... the list goes on and on. You will not find another car on the market with these options for the 15k I stole mine at. If you find one, snatch it up!
A beautiful hypochondriac girlfriend.
We started off well, me and my orange Euro appearance SVT when the clutch starting making odd sounds around 6000 miles. I brought it into the dealer where he replaced the clutch & flywheel. He also borked the exhaust system, alignment, and shift linkage. I brought it back because my SVT steered like a cow and the dealer aligned it and "balanced" the tires. He actually "unbalanced" the tire and now my car shakes like a paint mixer. The shift linkage broke three miles from home so I drove at 6000 RPM in first gear. The dealer repaired the shifter but crashed the front-end which now squeaks like an old rocking chair. Ford built it badly and the dealer has finished it off.
