Diesel v. Gas
I had rented both for long weekends the 6.7 diesel and 6.2 gasoline, I had much better experience with the diesel as I towed a 6700lb toy haul trailer with 120 gallons of fresh water, 23 gallons of Gasoline, 400lb street motorbike, and full of stuff for both trips, in addition to the diesel trip it was longer and mountainous paths. As the characters of driving are same but huge difference in performance. It’s very stable on the road while towing and passing cars, as you can cruise it easy at 75 and 85 with low RPM’s Never had to adjust the throttle as I did on the gasoline engine, roughly 3 1/2 RPM on Gasoline. The seats are stiff and uncomfortable but the visibility is so clear and feels you are in control. I did 11.5 MPG without the trailer, 8.5 MPG with the trailer on Gasoline engine. At the same trailer gasoline engine roughly 150miles per trip and the diesel 300 miles per trip. All in all I really liked the diesel engin as it was so powerful and never think how rough is it gonna be on the engine, but I’ll consider getting much smoother and comfortable vehicle than the F250
