Turbo Charged
I just brought this 2004 F250 Crew Cab 4x4 with the new diesel (6.0). I had a 2000 F250 Crew Cab with the V10. I pull a 14,200lb. fifth wheel. All I can say is Turbo Charged. Wow what a big, big difference. I love it, way more power & better gas mileage. But they need to get up to date in the interior. Better quailty leather seats, air vents in the back, dvd player, dual climate control for the front, automatic rear view mirror Lighted running boards. Just step up to the plate. The excurisions come out of the same plant as the super dutys. Put or offer some of the other great features.
Best truck I have ever owned
There are a few things that need to be fixed from factory but once done right... I would own this truck over anything else and I have owned them all.lol. this truck is a 6.0 diesel and has been very dependable compared to all my friends trucks. The eve is a disaster from the factory and mechanics that know this motor are few and far between but once the factory pea screw ups are fixed this is a 500,000 mile truck with regular maintenance

Dura what?
Love my new Ford. THe 6.0 Deisel is bad to the bone. It toes like an ox and has throttle response like a gas motor. I looked hard at Chevys. I pulled along side of a decked out Chevy deisel and it looked like a grocery-getter compared to mine. 45 grand is alot to spend on a truck, but when you hit the gas, you know where that extra money went.
Great Truck-Love IT
5.4 eng+4spd auto+4WD+4.10 lim slip axle= poor gas mileage, lucky to get 14mpg highway w/no load or trailer in tow.Another review reported getting 20+mpg highway with essentially the same set-up.They must drive downhill w/50 mph tailwinds all the time to get 20+mpg or they're dreaming.Poor gas mileage aside,it's a great truck.Wish it had the adjustable pedals.
I have been power "stroked"
Bought my first 1997 used F-250 diesel. $2700 injecters/$4000 transmission/a few thousand here and there for misc. After around $10,000 in repairs I thought "guess I better get rid of this truck". (and because it had developed a miss) I thought, "maybe because it was used?" So I buy a new 2004 and thought my problems are over. (some of you 6 liter owners are laughing with me (or at me) truck has 40k; been in shop between 20 to 30 times (several times there were no tickets) fuel injection problems, computer problems, turbo problems, new alternator, new fuse box, and the list goes on for miles and miles (unlike my truck, which is back- firing and missing now (3rd or 4th time in shop) Now its a quest.
