I have owned my 2005 F150 5.4l since 2005 new and have 80,000 miles on it, I have had to do fuel injectors and updated timing chain and guides and phasers. Other than that, the truck has been awesome. I have done extensive maint on it as I tow a lot with it, and this may have led to its long lasting with no issues. My only complaint is lack of power otherwise I love the truck.

"engeneers need to improve the drive train". This is clearly the best drivetrain I have ever seen in a truck. The Allison is nowhere near as good as this seeing as if you do not change the fluids in the Allison religiously, it will fail quickly. The stereo package is one of the best I've seen in a truck and I enjoy the responsive throttle and brakes. The ride is much more superior than any Chevy or Dodge I've driven.
