Used 1998 Ford F-150 Regular Cab Consumer Reviews
exellent
The pickup is good on the highway we usually make road trips every year of about 4000 miles going and coming. Performance is decent but thats because it has 170,000 miles on the odometer. The pickup has only had minor problems, the biggest problem it has faced was the starter and the flywheel going bad but thats about it it Has been a very realiable and bad ass truck too drive.
Don't make 'em like that anymore!
Bought in '97, and still runs well after almost 30 years. Beware Ford's 4.2 liter V6, aka the throw-away engine.

Baby steps
This was my first truck...I did what every first time buyer does and I bought based on looks alone. The 150 step is a great looking truck! 2 years and 30k miles later I have no problems to report. As a loyal Ford convert, in the next week I'm going to upgrade to a 250 ext cab...A little more room, power and utility. An added bonus is the money for fuel is going to New Texas (formerly Iraq) and not OPEC.
Best Vehicle I've Owned
I bought this truck used; it was four years old then, and now I've had it four years. I've done nothing but routine inspections and change the oil and filters regularly. It has never been to the shop for anything. Even the battery lasted eight years. Only 75k miles on it, but this truck has been nothing but a joy to own. I will never ever consider buying a Chevy again.
im disapointed
i bought this vehicle from my friend who was moving but had bought his truck 6 months earlier. It has bad fuel mileage and I already had to get a new power steering pump and I had to get a newfan belt.It just isnt performing the way a 1998 truck should .I wouldnt recommend this vehicle to anyone that doesnt like sitting on the side of the highway waiting for road side assistance.I just sold the truck and I will never buy another one in my life.
