2015 Ford Explorer Limited 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

So far the 2015 Explorer that we purchased is awesome. Love most things about the car. Interior and controls are great. Seating with 2nd row captains chairs give a lot of room for passengers. Downside, the 3.5N/A engine is not the quickest, and gets not very good MPG. Also, cargo space behind the 3rd row is minimal, so prepare for either a roof cargo box, or a hitch mounted rack to go on trips if you have to use the 3rd row for passengers. Other than those things, I love the Explorer. No idea about long term reliability yet, as I've only had it about a 2 months.

Direct injection engines are prone to carbon build up on the back side of the intake valves...be aware of this...

Review

Owned this car for a year. Tried to love it. Not a real SUV, Doors are large and cumbersome, entrance is easy if you like a sedan, Navigation system impossible to see under certain lighting conditions, and way to complicated software for just plugging in an address. Cargo space is ample, for SUV.Seats not comfortable for long drives, requires constant adjustment. Steering is sloppy, rear window visibility poor, (I know they have rear view camera which is helpful). Exterior is nice looking, interior is like a black hole. Too much space between console and seats and everything falls down and disappears.
