Bought this truck used with 90,000 miles on it. Very little problems with it. Love how it handles. Wish they didn't stop making them. Going to get another one if this one is ever beyond repair.

I bought my truck right off the Ford dealer lot new in 2002. This is the 2001 model. Island blue in color. I have had only minor things that needed repairing. I have more then gotten my money out of it at 165000. miles. I plan to get another 100000 out of it before I finally have to say goodbye. Truck still runs like right off the lot new. I have had it maintained well. Also use the highest quality gas, regular oil changes, flushing the radiator, general stuff like that. Twice a year hand wax. Spring and late fall. She looks as pretty on the outside as she runs on the inside. Ford Ranger of mine also 2002 is also running strong. I cannot recommend two better vehicles this age, 165K miles, thats better. June 20 2020 Still running like new. I hope to get at least to the 250K mark and that is a very good possibility. Might I mention my sport track had a two car garage collapse on it? Dang thing took the punishment. Got the body repaired so its back to brand new looking. I've owned fords all my adult life and none gave out before 200k miles. Never had one give out at all, sold them still running strong. UPDATE: Still running like new. Looks new too. I'm keeping it until the engine dies out on me or gas is obsolete by way of electric. lol

At first when I drove the Sport Trac I remember thinking that it drove more like a car than a truck. I had just gave my reliable F-150 to my son-in-law prior to buying the Sport Trac from an acquaintance. The previous truck had given me 269,000 miles and was still running strong and looked newer than the 1995 that it was. I was now hoping the Sport Trac would be as loyal. Now at 100,000 and going strong without any problems thus far. I live in the country, use the Sport Trac as a dirt road explorer, and love driving it. It looks good and it feels good.

It will be going on 8 years since we have bought our truck used from a ford dealer. It was a year or two old. Since then it has been a pretty great companion. The only Problems are fuel economy, Braking System and Steering. The brakes have to be replaced or fixed often, the fuel economy is 14mpg, and the steering can get shaky meaning that you have to replace the control arms. Other then that its been a companion. Only a few years ago i found out that t was loaded with options. All i dont have is the moonroof and leather i think. Came with towing package, all exterior option, 6 disc changer, automatic tranny. Good truck. Repairs have never exceed 500 dollars when u DIY

I have driven several Fords over the past 25+ years and none compare to my Sport Trac. I totaly love this truck. I have 2 small children and it handles my family and needs quite nicely. I sometimes wish for a longer bed but I knew how long it was when I bought it right? My wife drives an Explorer also but jumps at the chance to take my Sport Trac every time. The seats are comfortable and the for a V-6 has great power. To every one who read the Consumer Report on the Sport Trac, remember opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them and some stink! Hats off to Ford on the Sport Trac!!!!!
