I bought this car 3 years ago. It now has 120k miles on it and is a 6 cylinder. This year Rudy blistered out over the rear wheels. Ford has a recall on these car up through 2011 for the rust issues. I hope the recall gets extended to cover 2012. Never heard any more from Ford regarding the rust issue. Sold the car in 2020.

I have 140,000, on my Escape. I bought it new in 2012 and have taken good care of it, it is still going strong, no major problems to date! It's easy to drive, easy to get into! Only downfall is the slow pickup speed! My next new car will be another Ford Escape!

The leather seats are very comfortable once you get the seat adjust just as you like it. My passengers tell me that there is a ton of room in the back seats and that the back seats are very comfortable. I got the steel blue color and I notice that it shows dirt very easily. Even right after I wash it, dirt appears on it. The back area is very prone to getting water spray from the rear wheels. I would recommend mud flaps. The premium stereo has a lot of features to it, but the speakers do not sound "premium". I would like a clearer sound and some additional bass. Also, the speakers on the front are in the door, so you leg muffles them. The ride is very comfortable, but has big turn radius.

The MPG is OK could be better, but what do you expect for a SUV and 4wd! The 4wd is GREAT we just love it, in the bad winters that PA gets, it goes straight up our steep mountains and hills snow covered sometimes 4 to 5 inches deep, with tire tread be mediocre, not the best! It lets you know when the turn signal or back light is out, the turn signal blinks really fast, when you need a new bulb! They grey color is very sparkly when clean, has a lot of glitter in it!!!! I like this style better than the newer ones!

I absolutely love my escape this is my 6th ford and I couldn't be happier. I love the premium speakers. The light electric power steering and the back up camera and sensors. The leather looks classy and the engine gets great gas mileage. It's not fast but it gets the job down. Getting the v6 never crossed my mine it isn't needed.
