Nice suv like new
So far I love everything about it. Not sure why day lights don't always come on but otherwise it's an awesome upgrade

Escape two!
Second Escape, our first was awesome, reliable and trustworthy. 80,000+ miles. This new one doesn't have the V6, but the wife and I felt we really don't need that extra cost. 4cyl is enough, its no race horse but it cruises nicely. Fit/finish is great! Love the Sync option. Wife is main driver and she likes way it drives. I like the safety options Ford has put on these Escapes now.

Never Buy Ford!
I had my vehicle in the shop within a month. After multiple visits and attempts to fix the problem Ford Corporate said my noise "was a characteristic of some Escape and Mariner models," "there are things to be done to temporarily fix the issue but it will continue to be an annoyance for the customer." Reference Special Service Number 21233 (if you can find it). Ford cannot fix problem and will not replace the vehicle. My Ford is now a very expensive POS. If you happen to buy the Lemon on the lot, be ready for a huge headache.
What was I thinking
I bought my 1st new car a 2010 Ford Escape and had it for two weeks and loved everything about it until it broke down. The service dept. could not find anything wrong with it. It dies going down the road and then will start back up in about 10 minutes, it did it about every other day until last week when it would only stay running for out 2 minutes and then die over and over again. It has been in the shop for 5 days and they still don't know whats wrong with it. I must of bought a lemon.
Best ride we found for an SUV
We have owened our Ford Escape XLT w/V6 engine for 2 weeks and we love it. The ride is very smooth, with the 6 shift transmission. We really enjoy the very low road noise, much lower that our KIA. The gas mileage is great 18 MPG in the city so fare. We are going on a long trip to Ohio soon and I will send and update on this wonderfull Ford Escape XLT when we return.
