Ford Escape
This is an outstanding vehicle. Handling and comfort is great for this type of vehicle. All controls are at fingertip reach. Locking system locks all locks at the turn of a key or the press of a button.
Fantastic SUV
This is a great SUV. Had rented one last year in 2003 for vacation. It really was comfortable to ride in, drive and all around vehicle. Found the one we bought at Enterprise Car Sales just had to buy it. Not too good on gas mileage but that is the only disappointment I have. Would buy another one if needed too.

Last Ford I'll ever buy
I bought a 2003 New Ford Escape in Virginia Beach at Beach Ford.It was a nightmare. Very poor service and very rude service managers. Could not get a call back from the sales manager or general manager (I paid cash for the car). Milage is way below what it is supposed to be. Ford Corp would do nothing, Beach Ford would do Nothing. It got 14 miles per gallon the first year and has improved to a whopping 20 or so the next year. I have been very disappointed in the vehicle, dealership and Ford Corp. The passenger door would not close and the windshield leaked when I bought the car. Both Beach Ford and the national Ford did very little.
Love my Escape
Although I have only owned my Escape for 30 days, I am in love. The driver seat is so comfortable. As someone with lower back problems, its so nice to sit on a Los Angeles freeway and not have a spasming right hip. The seat is like a comfortable living room chair so there is very little pressure on my back. Kudos to Ford for making a comfortable nice sized SUV
New Escape
I'm new to the SUV market. I traded in a Ford Taurus which was loaded with options and a great car, but was looking for something different. I guess I have to get use to driving an SUV. The Escape handles well, but a little disappointed with some features and interior design. For instance, the shift on the column, havn't had one in years. It gets in the way since it sticks out so far and you can't see what gear your in when the wheel is turned.
