Used 2003 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
Love It!!
2nd SUV- bad luck with Honda (transmission)
Eco Vehicle
I have been a compact car owner for years, despising the large gas guzzling SUV's for the waste and damage they cause. However, I own and run a small video production company and needed more payload for my equipment. I first noticed the Escape hybrid, but then realized the Escape got better milage than many sedans on the road. Since I've owned the Escape, I been impressed with it's features and eagerness to please. A great realiable, eco friendly solution.

Escape Fits Our Needs
We looked at a number of "mini-SUVs." The Ford Escape fit our needs best. It's the right size (not too big and not too small), we're confident that it will be safe and reliable, and it's fun to drive.
2003 Ford Escape XLS 2WD 3.0L
This vehicle has by far provided the most enjoyable driving experience of all the Fords I have owned over the years. In my opinion, its handling, performance and fuel economy, not to mention good looks, place it a head above the others in its class that I tested before settling on this particular Ford product.
Lovin it so far!
I've had it only a few weeks, but I'm loving it. No problems so far. Great power, handling, space etc for a small SUV. Mom has a Tribute ES-AWD, and I think the Ford is quicker and handles better (feels much lighter w/o the AWD). Also, the 02 Escape gear shifter is not in the way of the radio (as it does in the 01 Tribute)!! My gas mileage so far has been a little dissapointing, though.
