I bought this 2020 model new mar 2021. The car is pretty fast and corners well. As a bonus, my wife and I got to go to a 1 day driving experience in Asheville, NC. Very enjoyable and free with purchase!! The car has never had to be towed in, but..... I've had in the shop about 6 times for warranty repairs. O'brien Ford in Shelbyville, KY has been very responsive regarding these repairs. Repairs: at 600 miles turbo oil line started leaking Never could keep coolant levels up. Finally replaced radiator after almost a year. Drivetrain light kept coming on randomly. This was somehow repaired after the first year. Just had temperature drop to -7 deg F. This caused the windshield wiper motors to fail. Both replaced under warranty. I've owned about 30 cars, some costing around $100..00. Never had the windshield wipers fail before. A pretty OK car if one factors out the 18 hours I've had to sit around at the dealership waiting on repairs.

Purchased in March 2021, I have put about 2,000 miles on the car. This is my 4th Edge, but my first ecoboost engine. This time around I decided to test drive competitors, but decided I still preferred the Edge. I have been pleased with the vehicle. As with the others the strongest points continue to be the very quiet cabin and solid ride. It also straddles my need for a vehicle that I can commute 60 miles a day in but transitions to family duty on the weekends. It’s not too big but there is plenty of storage. That said I am not in love with the engine/transmission pairing versus the V6 six speed. Particularly in town, the transmission can struggle to find the right gear which can impede on the ride quality. I don’t notice any difference on the highway. So far the ecoboost is only doing 1 mpg better than the V6, hopefully that improves. However I am getting used to the transmission and find that my driving habits are changing to accommodate. Overall I continue to recommend the Edge and am satisfied with my purchase. Update October 2021 I have put approx. 7,000 miles on this vehicle. I am getting about 1.2 mpg better than my previous V6 Edge. I get 25.4 mpg which is composed 50% highway and 50% in town miles. High point is still the quiet cabin, and lots of storage (with a small footprint) low point is still the lazy transmission. I would still recommend the vehicle.

I had a 2017 Titanium model that I absolutely loved. The mileage was getting a little high, so I traded it in for the 2020 version. I think the old one may have been a little more comfortable, but the tech upgrades and better fuel efficiency balances that out easily. I love the new headlight system on the new one and can see much better at night. Glad I made the trade for the 2020.

We currently own a 2013 Edge Sport which I love, but the steering and overall “feel” of the ‘13 is a bit on the heavy side so my wife isn’t crazy about driving it. We recently test drove the 2020 Edge, and WOW - it’s absolutely amazing the changes and advances Ford has made over the last eight years...where the 2013 drives like a plush riding truck, the 2020 Edge ST drives like a sports car ...the new 2.7 V6 is incredible - this car is FAST with dazzling acceleration, and the suspension is fantastic. We have a cabin in Big Bear California, and the drive up the mountain roads is always fun but challenging...our ‘13 has a bit softer suspension so when taking the hairpin turns I usually have to slow down to 35-40 mph max. to keep the car level, pushing it past that speed creates a bit of body lean...in our new 2020, in pushing the car into these turns at 60 mph and again, WOW - no body lean whatsoever - this change in the handling is so dramatic, it inspires confidence that this new Edge can do anything you ask it to do. As far as longevity - only time will tell, but so far, we LOVE this car! Kudos to Ford for transforming the Edge from a plush, comfortable SUV to a plush, comfortable CROSSOVER that takes advantage of all the new technologies that have become available to the consumer over the last eight years..BTW obe major change: no more INTERNAL WATER PUMP like the 2007-2014 model - a potentially horrible design flaw which all Edge owners are aware of and one of the worst design blunders in automotive history...the new 2.7 V6 has a nice old fashioned bolt on water pump! If you’re in the market for a newer SUV, highly recommend test driving the new Edge!

At 86000 miles engine is done

Purchased a 2020 Edge new..Used it a year putting 86000 miles on it all highway miles..Took it to the dealer to diagnose a coolant leak. The result was the engine is leaking coolant on the head as I was told and needs an engine replaced. Cost i was told 8000 to 9000.Never will touch a Ford suv again.The dealer told me Ford knows about the problem and would replace the motor if I had under 60000 miles.
