Top of the heap!

This Bronco outperforms the Jimmy I had by a long shot. I live in the woods in MS 4.75 miles from black top. A lot of mud, creeks and hills. Haven't had to do much of anything to it. Love the ride, clearence and power. This 5.8 is much better than the GM 5.7. My daughters Jeep cant keep up on road or in the mud. And a Dodge cant make it out here.

Love the Truck. Easy Care. Parts are easy to come by when needed. Turns very sharp(good thing). Ride is not your wife's Lincoln, afterall it is a 4WD truck. Avoid if it was never used in 4WD mode and you expect to. High mileage(+130,000) Auto trans might cost more than it is worth(typical Ford). Expect rust on tailgate if the window seal was not maintained($65 at Ford). Gutter cracks are very common and easy to repair.

1992 Bronco Eddie Bauer

This is a good vehicle with minor details marring the picture. Styling to me is the best of any modern truck. Well-designed interior very attractive to me, but cheap plastic materials put a damper on things. Has many rattles. Seats are VERY comfortable. Removable roof is cool but awkward. 302 V8 (185hp@3800, 270 lb-ft@2400) is refined and torquey; pulls like a freight train and lives under 2000 rpm; best feature of the truck. Good auto transmission. Handling and ride pretty good for a 4x4. Gas mileage in town is 14mpg, 19mpg highway both with a light foot. Strong underpinnings and good engineering mean this 4x4 can tackle most off roading stock. Don't like that gas fill is on driver side.

I bought my Bronco new with 3 miles on the odometer. It now has about 122K and I'm still happy with the truck. Overall this has been the best vehicle I've ever owned. It's somewhat low tech by today's standards, but has proven to be very reliable and up to any task I've ever asked of it. In the last few months I'm starting to notice some rust-through in the bottom of the tailgate as well as in the front bumper.

I have had two Broncos 1992 and 1996. I still drive them both every week. These trucks turn on a dime and are really easy to park. They are very powerful and no task challenges them. Both trucks have close to 300,000 miles and the transmissions have been trouble-free. The engines run great and don't burn oil. Good looking and still in style. Just replaced leather interior in one of them. Exterior paint is original and looks new.
