Hut sut raw
Just like the song, this thing sounds like gibberish and requires explaining, but it's catchy as hell and goes well with fishing. My wife and I traded in her ailing explorer for the Robin's egg limited heritage and we haven't looked back. Despite what this article says, we have a blast driving it on the road and around town. If you have a long commute, I would definitely recommend something else because you can definitely find something with better gas mileage, but if not the bronco sport is an absolute pleasure to take anywhere on or off the road. I have to recommend getting the badlands model. We tried both the 3 cylinder as well and the extra power and amenities really make a difference, but I'm also one of those weirdos that wants all the options. As for the backbseat, I'm 6'5" and 300 lbs and have sate comfortably in it

Great vehicle
The Sport is a great vehicle for what it is designed to be. A crossover that is very comfortable off road. I would take it many places that I would not have taken my Escape that it replaced. But if I was going to hard core off roading I would take my 1968 Bronco. But as a daily driver weekend beach goer or camp ground ride it's the Sport.

Better than expected!
Drives smoothly and quietly. Small engine but plenty of power. My wife can see much better while driving and doesn't need a cushion (she is 5'2). Is getting better mileage than rated. Rated at 25/29, however the mileage went from 27 leaving Boise (2600') and went UP as we went up to McCall/ Mt Brundage (5200') and was at 30.4 when we reached the top. By the time we got home (310 miles) it was at 33.4. Not bad. Not sure what you would have to do to get only 29. Nice surprise.

Baby Bronco from Kendall
The Bronco Sport is sometimes called the "baby" Bronco. However its superb handling, sporty style, comfortable ride and 30+ mpg on the highway add up to a great deal for the money. We are diehard Ford owners with 4 Fords currently in our fleet, and over a dozen Fords purchased. We have never been disappointed in any vehicle's performance or track record in over 25 years. This Baby Bronco looks just as solid a performer as its older siblings!

Blue Big Bend Baby Bronco
Have had my Azure colored Big Bend for two weeks now and everything is fine. Comfortable, fun to drive, new technology, good looks, and so far, as-advertised gas mileage (too soon for specifics). The only thing I will have to get used to is the rotary shifter (I had a VW Golf Alltrack with 6-speed manual before). Also, the “L” gear selection is somewhat different as it does not shift up above 2nd gear after a full stop. It would make more sense to me to go at least to 3rd or 4th gear with an 8-speed automatic. Maybe an opportunity for improvement for Ford…? Update: Have had my Bronco Sport for about eight months now. Gas mileage has topped out at around 29 Mpg. Somewhat disappointing as I was hoping to achieve >/=30 Mpg. Also, some squeaky noise from the dashboard becomes audible at temperatures of 70 +/-5 degF. Will try to fix it myself as Ford technicians might make it worse. Still not used to the rotary shifter, and probably never will be. Next car will definitely have conventional shifter.
