great work horse
owned this vehicle since new, four trips to alaska and back pulling 10,000 lbs never failed me. Shes a road legal John Deere. Parts are affordiable and easy to obtain even in Canada.
92 Dodge Cummins
250000 miles, used for towing horse & utility trailers and general ranch/farm work. Above average time in 4WD and on dirt roads. No major mechanical problems & still 100% reliable and gets about 21 MPG on the hwy. Pulling a gooseneck horse trailer, 12-15 MPG average. I perform my own maintenance & have replaced all fluids with Amsoil products; including an aux. oil filter. The motor has no leaks. I have replaced all hoses once and flush & replace the antifreeze every two years. Oil changes at 50K with the Amsoil aux filter. I replaced the seat last month & have had it repainted as the paint flaked off at 100K miles. The gears, clutch, and transmission are fine.
Good old Pickup
I bought this pickup used with 98,000 mi on it. I now have 150,000 on it has been a very reliable pickup. The only thing I have had trouble with is the speedometer. It has the diesel engine that gets about 20 mpg on the highway. It doesnt have the power of the new diesels. But it pulls a 7,000 lb trailer 60-65 MPH all day.
Grandpa Truck
Our truck belonged to an old man at church....I wish it were 4X4,but she'll do! There are not many old trucks that get around 22 mpg. of course it is a Cummins engine.
This is a great truck
This truck has gotten me threw blizzards, snow storms, hail, and slush with out a problem. Its only 2 wheel drive i cnt emagine what the 4 wheel drive version would do. This truck gets the best gas milage i fill up every 2 weeks or so. It's pulled loads that a new dually dodge couldnt do in 4 wheel. This truck has been good to me my family has owned it since it was new, and it became my first truck and i dont ever intend on selling it.
Work Horse
One of the strongest most reliable trucks out there. If you want to play with the rest, get ready to pay like rest;as well.
best truck ever built
my family got this truck new with the cummins turbo diesel in it we now have over 250,000 Miles on it and it is still going good
I'll buy another one when this one dies
I bought this truck when I was in high school and fell in love with it. Simple to work on. I've put 65 extra hp in her. It sits at 225 hp which is just right for what I do. I will buy another one of these tanks.
Old Reliable
I bought this truck used from a rancher to pull a trailer I was pulling with my little Nissan. Long story short, this thing pulls. Rides really rough unloaded! 21 mpg is what I normally average, does not make any difference loaded vs. unloaded. Very roomy cab.
The best truck ever
I had this truck when we bought it new and I've never looked back. With more than 170,000 miles and no major problems it's the best truck I've ever had. It does great on the trails. I've taken this truck to hell and back and its not failed me yet
mixed review of Cummins Turbo model
I was with my dad when he bought this truck new in 1992 and 5 years and 105,000 miles later I bought it from him. He put 105K on pulling a big fifth wheel all over the country and went through 3 transmissions before finally getting one that stuck. The cummins TD is a gem and will never fail. Ever. And the truck will pull anything and gets fantastic mileage with and without a load. But I have had a ton of problems underneath with U- joints, wheel bearings and seals, and the rear differential. I poured thousands into this truck repeatedly and finally decided I would stop and just "drive it til it blows". Problem is that it won't.
Great value work truck
We are the third owners. Purchased as a work truck this truck is dependable. Put on new master cylinder brakes and now needs new antilock brake device but other than that has held up well! Also like the heavy duty suspension because we haul equipment as contractors that carry heavy load sometimes.
Great truck

Can't beat it
Great truck, bought with 144,000 miles on it, gonna see 300,000 I'm sure. Tons of power when needed, gets 20-25 miles per gallon when empty.
