Has been Great
Have had van for 5 years and 107000 miles, to only things that I have done is reg maint. One battery and 2 sets of brakes, 2nd set at 100000 miles. I can fit the whole house in to this van when I go on vacation and still have room for the fam. and still get good MPG, around 20. I did'nt buy it for its looks or performance. I bought it for the basic use of a van.
Good Minivan Sport version
80,000 miles and still going strong. I do my own maintenance so the hardest thing to replace was the starter at 75K. It does eat front brake pads. Had to replace the tranny lines from the raditor. One brake hose started to fail and was replaced under warranty. Overall it takes a beating and keeps ticking. Battery replaced once. No major problems yet.
No problems for us!
Bought this van used for less than 20K with 20K miles (it was a Program vehicle). Now at 60K+ miles with absolutely no problems. My husband changes the oil regularly and it runs great. We have not experienced any of the wind noise nor transmission problems/oil leaks mentioned by others. But would like to see hideaway 3rd seat feature. VERY comfortable on road trips, though, and roominess is unbeatable. Would definitely buy another one.
My best minivan
I buy this minivan 4 years ago, I do a lot of things in there; I use it like a cargo van-I put in there 12 people and 15 backpaks-, for traveling, a few off road sessions, it's so roomy, I love all that space. Yes I had some problems, but it was my fault, so I don't think that it was a bad car.
High Mileage Winner
I purchased my 1998 Sport brand new. I have followed the recommended maintenance per the manual except oil changes every 5,000 miles instead of 7,500. At 225,000 miles, I can't even think of selling this vehicle. It has been 100% reliable. No engine work. No tranny work. A few belts/tensioners, a crossover pipe. Oh yeah, I pull a 2000# camper, no problem.
