The only problem I see is that it is suppose to get 19 in the city and 26 on the highway. I get 18 on the highway.

Love the minivan itself. Love the styling, room, convenience and the ride. However, I can't trust this vehicle with my wife and 9-month old girl. It has been in the shop approaching 2 dozen times! Multiple steering issues. Grinding sound in steering. AC line replacement. Fuel pump went out on busy freeway at 1,000 miles on engine! Transmission went out at 27,000. Nearly stranded wife and children on hwy at night. New trans hesitates between 1st & 2nd gears. Tech mgr. says it's common and shouldn't be a problem. Very comforting! CD player died. Dealer accidently replaced DVD player. Battery keeps dying. Dealer keeps saying it's OK. Dies after 1/2 hour on access. radio.

Chrysler still tops in minivans

This is the 2nd Chrysler in a row I have bought new which has never been back for maintenance. Quality is excellent. Stow & Go seats are a stroke of genious. Average of 26mph highway and 20-22mph on the rest of driving. Have gotten as high as 29mph on some trips. We will be trading on another one soon. For a good quality low priced van it is hard beat. Driving is easy. Handling is excellent. Seating is comfortable,as we have taken several long trip without tiring. Road bumps are well muted.

We bought this van with 19,000 on the odometer. After a year and a total of 28,000 miles, we turned it in for servicing for the following items. "V" belt was replaced due to being beyond specs (including the tensioner belt). Throttle body causing the it to idle horribly, and stall. replaced with one that sticks and you have to stand on the gas pedal to accelerate (but not a problem according to Chrysler). Front brakes were gone, replaced and about 5,000 miles later, the rotors were warped and had to be turned again! All in all, I hate this van, wish someone would burn it to the ground! New tires and alignment (within specs) but it pulls to the left, hard. and Firestone can't get it to stop pulling, due to the rear not being adjustable and being out of alignment.

I am embarrassed to drive a mini-van, but not to drive a mini-RV. I can pack this thing completely full for camping, haul around every kid in the neighborhood, get up hills, drive in snow, and open the doors automatically when my hands are full of groceries. Great gas mileage!

This van is fabulous! Easy to drive- lots of power- easy to park -- reliable.Double sliding doors make it very convenient to load. The storage space behind the back seats is great for groceries & other items that may roll around while in transit.

This car was a disappointment. We bought when we had our second child thinking that Chrysler was the only one who knew Mini-vans. The interior design is fantastic, but the quality of the vehicle was disturbing as well as the quality of service at the dealership. Paint is chipping off the rear fenders, front end has to have parts replaced again, etc.. The list goes on.

This minivan rides really great, probably the best ride for all minivans. Love the stow n go, already hauled 4 big screen TVs and 1 bunk bed. Feel like owning a truck without a truck gas mileage. However, too many reliability issues here and there: Break pads worn out every 20k miles front and rear, emmission computer failed, ball joints, tie rods and rack & pinion need to be replaced. "Life is like a box of chocolate" with this van, you never know what problem you're gonna get tomorrow.

We have owned our Chrysler Town and Country van for almost 4 years. The space and stow and go seating is wonderful. The multiple problems we have had that require repairs makes us wish that we would have bought a different vehicle. From electrical locks that have gone hay-wire to bad tie rods and at least 2 recalls, it's been in the shop a lot. That's just part of the list of things that have required fixing. We still owe on it and unfortunately did not get an extended warranty. We passed the 36,000 mile mark a while ago so now we just keep hoping and praying nothing more goes wrong.

Had a Plymouth Voyager. Loved It. Bought this Chrysler new. What a pain. I've had to return it to the dealer 15 times in 42,000 miles. Airbag, AC, ABS system, the list goes on. Called Chrysler and received no help. I am very surprised. Thought Chrysler was better. This will be the last one I ever buy. I've never had so much trouble with any vehicle I have ever owned. I hope someone from Chrysler reads this. They need a wake-up call.

I bought my van from my mom who bought it from her sister, and I kind of thought my mom was crazy when she bought it. I thought a car that has over 200,000 miles on it the motor and transmission will never last. But now I own it because, I had got my 2006 dodge caravan with only 124,000 miles on it from my mother and law and guess what the damn transmission and intake gasket went out. So then my mom sold me her 2005 Chrysler town and country. It now had 265000 miles on it and is still running and going strong. Regular matenince and services are what helps keep the life of your vehicle going. Great Van drives good have no complaints. Put the same kind of transmission that works in a Chrysler Van into my dodge van, dodge should recall the 06 Dodge caravan and fix the issues.

I bought my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country LTD with all the bells and Whistles including the towing package. It’s still running after 140,000 miles. The Stow and go features still continue to amaze and its ability to slide in sheets of plywood easily has made it easy to haul large loads. Fingers crossed I make it to 200,000 miles. The only little part I could not replace was the dash cluster after 139,000 mi that ran all of the bells but not some of the whistles, so installed another and have the bells but not the whistles. I’ve taken it on back roads visiting ranches so been keeping an eye on engine and transmission mounts.

Love my new T&C minivan!

We just bought our new Chrysler Town & Country minivan about three weeks ago and we absolutely love it. It was a very affordable solution to our growing family's need for a bigger vehicle. The base model is not base at all. It has power windows and locks, CD/DVD player, cruise, and more. We love the styling, it is very classy looking and drives very well. I have no comment on reliability yet but it seems extremely well-built. I'm sure Chrysler reliability has greatly improved since the merger with Mercedes. I anticipate no problems.

This is my first Chrysler product and overall, I am enjoying the T & C. I like the automatic doors, although they are loud. It's very comfortable and roomy. My kids & I tested a few vans, and they felt that the second row seats were the most comfortable - I agree! Love the DVD player. The sound quality of the stereo is poor. The biggest complaint is that when I am going out into traffic, sometimes my wheels do not grip (the roads are not wet or slippery)and they spin. It does not do well in snow.

The new "stow & go" seating is the best invention since the wheel. This creates flexible seating arrangements allowing maximum storage and passenger capacity. The 3 zone climate control quickly balances temperature even on the hottest days. The overhead storage is convenient both front and back and the sound system with in dash 6 disc player is very impressive with steering wheel controls couldn't be more ergonomically perfect. The "back- up sensor" system is a very nice additional feature as are the power side doors and rear liftgate. The added convenience of 3 overhead remote control buttons gives this vehicle great flexibility. The town & country couldn't be a more perfect automobile

I have had my 2005 Town and Country for 1 week and love it! It handles great, the price with rebates made my payments less than the previous minivan, the exterior is sharp, the seats are very comfortable, and the ride is very smooth. I will check back with an update in the future.

My 2005 Chrysler T&C is a pleasure to drive. Excellent handling, good comfort, and respectable fuel economy. My old 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan never spent one minute in the garage for service, except for normal oil changes and cooling system service. I wasn't sure whether the powered side doors were really necessary on the 2005, but they have been a big help to older second-row seat passengers. We looked at the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, but it seems that all of their salespeople have an attitude problem, and Honda and Toyota minivans don't have as many features available as the Town and Country.

I purchased my T&C in 1996. Since that time I've had a few problems with it but over all everything works fine. About the most difficult problem of all is the air conditioner, it never cools. The windows don't open enough for the children to get air. The cost for repair is astronomical when it comes to problems with the engine!

since day one i have had nothing but problems with the dvd cd player. the warranties that i purchaced were not completely honored. i have had to have in for service every month since i'v owned the mini van. it has been in the shop for more than three times for the same problem and i feel this is not right. i have owned previously purchesed cars and mini vans and never had this type of problems and to buy a 2005 mini van and it has been the shop all the time is just a problem i feel is unexcusable, i've tried to talk to the service manager and the salesman but no one has helped me at all. if i had to do it all over again i would buy anotaher mini van from another auto maker. thank you

I picked up my mini van and drove right away on a 3 hour trip and then ended up at the other end in a snow storm. It handled great on the highway and freeways and in the snow. Love the drivers electric seat and depth of the seat to fit a a taller person, the radio/cd controls on the steering wheel, hide & go seats.I have had only one new car problem to be fixed & that was the back door would not always operate & was fixed as soon as possible from dealership.I even stop in at times to chat with my salesman, I am happy with Chrysler Product compared to my previous experience in '72 & '88 of new ones. I recommend the comfort, reliablity, convience of hauling items, like people & furniture.

We brought the T&C as our first van. I was impressed with how well the van drives compared to most cars I have owned. Unlike some vans, you can still drive it like a drivers car. It corners well, has excellent power and wonderful full throttle acceleration. The seats are very comfortable, if a bit on the hard side. I would recommend getting the heated seats. The sunroof is a very nice touch and you might not even feel like you are driving a van. The 6 disk CD changer is good for long trips. I would not get the DVD if you have a laptop, you can buy a $30 inverter at target that lets you use it in the car and saves you a grand. The only minus is bad mileage. It needs a fourth gear.

Gas Mileage does get better

I purchased this vehicle because I was having another child and needed the room and my car was a 1992 Corsica that was in need of a lot of work. I really like the vehicle, but was discouraged with the mileage, averaging 16-17 mpg before the motor was broke in. I do both highway and city driving and now am averaging more like 20-22 MPG. Considering it advertises at 18-26 MPG this is much improved especially with gas prices. My 1992 car got 23 MPG so I am extremely happy the van is now getting close to this.
