Used 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser Wagon Consumer Reviews
Lot of fun, no hassles
Always a head turner, the adaptability of the vehicle lets it perform many functions. Comfortable for trips, and taking my daughter to college was possible in one trip with the storage room.
Bug to PT... or, "from Herbie to Petey"
Having driven a '74 VW Bug for 29 years, it's clear not many new auto designs were that tempting to me. In other words, it would take a truly outstanding design to induce me to make a change. That's why I love the PT... it's as if my trusty VW had won the lottery and retired in luxury... but with its same, lovable personality intact. The PT Cruiser is surely, as auto reviewers have noted, the new "American Beetle".

As good as ever
Switched from my very reliable and fun 2002 base PT Cruiser to a 2004 turbo. Car is almost identical which means great looking, extremely practical. The Cruiser must be one of the greatest examples of a cool looking car that is also fun, fairly economical, comfortable, handy in traffic and to park because it is so short, and up to whatever task I throw at it. After mediocre experiences with earlier Chryslers, my 2002 was extremely well built (never had a single problem) and the new 2004 GT seems at the same level.
The greatest
The best car I ever owned
Gas mileage bust
My biggest complaint about PT automatic is that gas mileage is a disappointment. Driving conservatively the minimum average posted city driving rating barely met(20) more often then not it has been less. Highway driving have yet to achive average posted rating of (25)best to date has been (23)
