Wonderful car
This has been one of the best cars I have owned. For an SUV, it rides like a dream on the Mercedes chassis. It has been extremely reliable. The only minor problem I had was the setback button for the top part of the seat would not work, but the mechanic fiddled with it and got it working. I still have the original brakes at 57k! My hubby had an LHS when they first came out; it was also one of his favorite cars, and he has since owned a Cadillac and two BMWs. I also owned a Chrysler van which had no problems either. If they made this in a hybrid, I would buy it again.
Riding the Beast
I've recently purchased a fully loaded 2004 Pacifica which we've termed the "Beast", as we really don't know what class it's in. The term is not bec of uncomely looks, but bec it appears so big in our garage. The "Beast" is more quiet than most cars luxury cars I've driven. It handles like a sports car, rides like an over-sized Caddy and has easy to reach driving equip. The sound system is great and the navigation system, although not On-Star, works exceptionally well. I recommend it for those with family, or need to transport larger items and still want to experience sports car handling but insist on all the comforts. A great car.

My review
I absolutely love this car and would buy another in a heart beat. I have had people stop me at a light or at the store to ask me if they could take a look at the car or even what type of car it is. It drives very well. It looks sharp. My co-workers tell me that it reminds them of a mercedes, but without the mercedes price. Pure luxury. Chrysler has out done themselves.
nice ride
Over all very happy making a change from having bigger SUV
I got a good one
Bought car in Oct of 04 with 17k, now has 75k and still going. The only problems I've had, power seats went out about 4 years ago, but warranty took care of it. It does have a loud popping noise coming from front end, but they all seem to do that. Motor mounts are now shot, but the worst is that the dealer doesn't have any, so I've been waiting since April and they are still on back order. Other then that it's been great! Sturdy car, hit a median on the freeway in Cali going 70 mph and nothing happened, didn't even get a flat, just had to change the tie rod ends & rack, but that was my fault and warranty covered it. One more year and it's paid for. I hope it continues to hold up.
Best Car I have owned
Best car that I have owned. I have owned BMWs, Lexuses and Mercedes. Chrysler is not marketing the Pacifica correctly. Should be marketed against the Lexus and BMW SUVs. I believe that it would compare favorably.
Real Surprise
Turning in a 2000 Jaguar XJR for a Pacifiac was painful, but necessary to meet our needs. Waht a pelsant surprise when the real drivability and finish matched the test drives.
Worth a Look
This vehicle is worth a look at...Dare to Compare. I think the Pacifica will win hands down for the price. Best of all worlds. A great combination of SUV, Wagon, and Minivan. Well laid out..with features to die for. Would like to see rear sensors, 5 speed auto. with 30 more hp., 1"+ ground clearance.
Ma Mopar does it right
Drives like a dream, perfer it over the AWD model
Good and Bad
This is a nicely built car. It is comfortable and delivers a fine ride -- BUT--the gas mileage in local driving is TERRIBLE!!! __Avg --9.5-10.5 mpg!!! and the worst part is that Chrysler says that everything is O.K.--Ha-Ha.
Great Car!
We went from a Suburban to the Pacifica. This car is fabulous! I refused to go back to a minivan. We were researching online and were looking at the Volvo XC90 and the Pacifica. We took one look at the Pacifica, did a test drive, and it was over! The Pacifica is a much better deal option for option, feature for feature! We have 4 children. It is amazing, but kid's don't fight, they have plenty of room, it is actually a joy to go on road trips now! We have 11,000 miles on it and get an average of 21.2 mpg!
BEST CAR CHRYSLER HAS BUILT
PERHAPS THE BEST VEHICLE CHRYSLER HAS BUILT. NOTHING COMPARES TO THE QUALITY OR RIDE. THERE WILL BE NO FOREIGN COMPETITION IF THIS QUALITY CONTINUES.
A Great Vehicle!!!
My 3rd week of ownership. The finest vehicle I have ever owned, that includes BMW Mercedes etc No complaints. My 1st road trip 800mi was sheer pleasure. The all wheel drive handles well very predictable in icy and snowy conditions. Some have complained about power issues. I do not share that complaint. I live in mountains. Narrow twisting up and down roads are not a problem. It is extremely quiet and a pleasure to drive. The inferno red paint is a real head turner. Only problem is I had to spend $30 to get the license plate bracket to put my LSU Plate up front.
Very Good, Chrysler Pacifica
You will LOVE it
BEST
We've owned 2 Land Rover Discoverys, and were about to get a BMW 3 series wagon, or Benz C-class wagon when we happened upon the Pacifica. Fotr the same price we got a larger, safer, more powerful and better appointed vehicle. The GPs in the speedometer is fantatsic, the heated second-row captains chairs are great, and the Infinity Intermezzo six-disc cd/dvd changer kicks! Pay another grand for the all- wheel drive, the differnce in MPG is negligible. This is our first "American" car and we love it!
Total Satisfaction
This is the best car I have ever owned! I required a larger vehicle for my newborn twins, their double stroller and a host of other things I need to haul around. I feel much too hip for a mini van and a little more sophisticated than a large truck. The Pacifica is a perfect fit. I never hesitate to tell people about my joy when they stop me on the street to ask questions.
A Real Famliy Tourer
Extremely comfortable ride for my family of four who does all our traveling by car. Higher stance than a traditional wagon yet you never get the feeling you're driving a truck or van. Easily accessible third row seat gives each of our kids the chance to 'bring a friend' along to movies or outings, and makes arranging carpools much easier. For a mom who spends a lot of time taxiing her kids around, I'm thrilled to have a comfortable and stylish vehicle to do it in!
LOVE MY PACIFICA
I HAVE LEASED TWO JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES IN THE LAST SIX YEARS. THE PACIFICA THAT I NOW DRIVE RIDES AND HANDLES LIKE A SEDAN. THE OVERALL STORAGE IS GREAT. I REALLY ENJOY THE COMFORT.
Perfct Crossover to SUV, Van, Wagon
This vehicle is a very comfortable feeling car. It feels very solid, safe and luxorious. So far, the horsepower and gas mileage have'nt been a problem. It's comparing equally to my other vehicle, which is a mini van.It drives exceptional on the highway and during our first snow storm, handled treacherous roads great.
Buy One!
We've had our Black AWD Pacifica for about 5 months now, put on about 7500 miles, and I couldn't be happier. It is one of the nicest, smoothest riding, smoothest handling, vehicle we have every owned. The navigation system, sound system, and array of very handy options are great. The more I drive it, the more I like it.
Good performances
I was, at first disappointed, when I found that I did not have all of the items that I had assumed were present. It has a load of useful equipment.
The perfect combination
The Pacifica has surpassed all of our expectations, and is a terrific vehicle for our needs.
WE LOVE OUR PACFICA
After we test drove the pacfica we liked it very much. After we bought it we loved it! The ride is super and the handeling is outstanding. The fit & finish is very good and the paint is flawless. I am comparing this to a 2001 Chrysler T&C limited that we are very happy with and still have. It may be slightly underpowered but not enough to worry about. We think this "whatever" is a winner and offers good value for all you get. I don't think there is a better "whatever" out there.
Awesome Automobile
We bought our Pacifica in August and were immediately satisfied. The smooth ride, roomy interior and 5 star crash rating are all that a family of 5 could ask for. We had to sell our Pacifica for financial reasons, but are back in the market for one at this time. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone that wants total satisfaction.
Used
I bought my pacifica as a 2004 used model, just used as a demo car from the dealership. New is was 41000, i got it for 25000! The only thing that truly disappointed me was the lack of trunk space when the third row is in use. This inhibits the vehicle greatly. I don't think the car is sluggish as some people say...I think it is just heavy set and that heaviness allows it to stick to corners and just make the passengers feel safe. The high beltline also adds on to this feeling of safety.
I Love My New Car!!
My new Pacifica is a dream come true. With a husband who coaches youth sports and two teenagers, I am constantly transporting kids from one place to another...and I am comfortable the whole time. There is plenty of seating room, the climate control really keeps the whole vehicle comfortable, the stereo is great (my teens love it), I feel safe driving in it, and I have received tons of complements on its exterior styling.
The Pacifica is the best
I get excited everytime I walk toward this vehicle, it is perfect for a person on the go with a family. I love the luxury of it's interior and smoothe ride.
Good Move on My Part
Pacifica owner since June, I drive 500 to 800 miles per week in city and highway traffic. High marks all the way! A few more miles per gallon would be nice but averaging 18 mpg isn't bad for a 4700 lb car. Bottom line: Would I buy it again?... Yes, without hesitation!
Impressed so far
Our long driveway slopes from 20 to 35 degrees. So during snowy weather, two wheel drive vehicles don't stand a chance. The Pacifica's AWD goes up and down the hill with very little slippage and gives us confidence. (We had the dealer swap the OE tires with Goodyear Forteras) We have been extremely pleased with the comfort of the ride and the quietness of the cab. In fact those were the 2 main reasons we chose the Pacifica over the Pilot, which we found to be rather stiff and noisy on the highway. The rear seats are comfortable, even the third row is very sedan like.
Stationwagon, I don't think so!
So far I am very pleased with my Pacifica. One problem that I am experiencing that the dealer will work on next week is the sunroof. It seems like the interior around the sunroof is going to cave in if I have the sunroof open at all. So, it is a pretty annoying thumping sound that hurts my ears and somone will have to do something about it...
a lot for the money
The Car is a modern station wagon. The power isn't great, but it will do for a mother of 2 and 2 dogs. You have to be carefull of blind spots. About the same as any other SUV. Its unique, but will it last? It has to Mercedes bet a lot on it. Shares a lot of interior style with Mercedes. You get a lot of car for 35g. Much more than GM. The DVD is great. I give it high marks for toys...Average for power, good for ride. Don't pay more than invoice. They gave me 500 under plus 3000 cash back. They aren't flying out.
Why don't I see more on the road?!
This car is the ultimate in proportional beauty. I've had numerous people comment on what a pretty car this is, inside & out. The look is extremely rich, yet aggressive. A vehicle with classic lines & detail, with an interior to match. A "cult-car" for the thirty-somethings.
This car is a real blast!
We weren't planning on getting a new car this year, but a rear-ending accident, totalling my Chrysler Town and Country suddenly put us in the market. We were pretty much ready to by either a new mini-van (not my first choice) or a large SUV when my wife saw a commercial for the Pacifica. We decided to take a look over the weekend and halfway through the test drive, we were both sold. The Pacifica is so unique in many ways both my wife and I love it. And we get plenty of attention from the curious where ever we go.
Great Chrysler
Good alternative for a minivan, and not the mommy mobile.
great
Had a pt cruiser frist never bought chrysler cars before but this is my secound one have never brought a car back to dealer for any reason other than an oil change never had any mechanical problems. Enjoy the quiet ride kid loves the sourond sound DVD not bad on gas used more in pt crusier everything at good reach distance well designed car .
FAVORITE CAR
We have loved owning this vehicle since the day we bought it! I do not like driving in the snow/slush, but have felt very safe in the Pacifica AWD. It handles VERY VERY good in the snow! We've replaced the brakes once on it at about 60K miles. It does burn a little oil at times - but not too bad that it worries us. The headlights have gone out once on each side. Otherwise, there are no problems with it. We love how it handles & drives & would recommend it to anyone!
pacifica
She has many good points and I would tell anyone how great she is. She does have a couple of bad points, one being the blind spots, with the small back window. She is more difficult to see out of than the Chyrsler Limited. Also, we have had trouble with the tailgate opening when we are in a parking lot, even though it is locked. We put the keys in our pocket and look back to find the tailgate open. This could be a serious problem if there were valuables in the car. The light switches are difficult to use, because it is not consistant. Maybe I should have it checked. Over all she is a great car and rides beautifully, I would give her a B plus.
Value, comfort and safety
I have really enjoyed driving this vehicle for the past two years. With 2 children, one of whom is handicapped, this is a roomy, functional and comfortable vehicle. The styling is refined externally and internally. The Pacifica is equally at home at the opera or at the vacation cabin. This is one of those vehicles with a wide divergence in rating between the drivers (more positive) and the professional rating groups.
If you're tall ....
We recently bought an '04 Pacifica. It is very pleasing to look at inside and out but there are some definite issues with the car. First, 250 hp seems like a lot but it is a bit of a dog with the AWD (15.3 mpg avg to boot, yikes!). Basically it is as fast as the minivan you are probably looking to replace, no better. Second, if you are over 6'2" pay attention to front seat comfort. The seats are a bit too firm for my tastes and don't go back far enough for me so unfortunately commuting isn't the pleasure I expected. Overall, I think the car is a good value as a used vehicle. Its pleasing on the eye inside and out. It just needs more power and a more comfortable driving position.
My new Pacifica
Great ride and comfort in a large vehicle. Handles extremely well for something this big. Layout is great, with very comfortable interior. Performance adequeate, could be improved with a 5 speed transmission. Auto stick a nice option, but only used for a little fun. Excellent electronics and controls. Tire pressure sensor and even "low windshield wiper fluid", controls remind you when service is required.
outstanding
great new model for chrysler. it is often mistaken for a lexus. chrysler has a winner.
be careful!!!!
I have had my Pacifica for 5 months now and it has been in the shop with 3 MAJOR problems. The first time an airbag sensor went out and the part was on back order for 6 weeks!!! That's right...no airbags for 6 weeks. Next an antilock brake sensor went bad...no anti lock brakes for over a week. And then a wheel hub assembly went bad..no wonder chrysler gives u a free loaner for this car!!!!!
Pacifica 2004
very slugish in pull off from stop terrible fuel consumption
AWESUM CAR!!!! i luv myn
It is a great car. It turns on a dime and is very nice on the interior. It is way before its time and is the perfect family car!!!!!!!
The Birdman Flies in his Pacifica
This sleek sedan/SUV is the way to go!!! It's unique style and reliable performance make it the envy on the street. Additionally, since the Pacifica is still a relatively new model, you will probably be the first in your community to own one. ENJOY the experience!!!
Wife's Selection
My Wife choose the Pacifica, a Great fit for her. Steering is very tight, with great response, seating is comfortable. The only negative is with 6 passengers, the luggage area in the back is very slim. GPS in dash is very easy to read and use.
This vehicle has set a new standard
Every where we go in southern California, we get more looks than when I am in my Porsche. My wife and I laugh at all the attention the Pacifica gets. The vehicle is the most impressive vehicle I have owned, ever! The ride is awesome and quiet, the amenities are great. We make excuses to go places just so we can drive in the car! Honestly, I believe the Pacifica has set a new standard for SUV's and Mini Vans in appearance and luxury.
I was hooked at the looks and performanc
I've only had this vehicle 4 days, and can say so far so good. Its build is like nothing else on the market. It drives like a cadillac, smooth and so fun to look at.
Why I Love my Pacifica
We have fully enjoyed our Pacifica. We used it for a vacation from So. Dakota to California. We had 3 adults and 1 child 5 yrs old. We met my daughter and a friend in Calif. so we ended up as 6 people in car. My grandaughter was a joy to take and I think the comfort of the vehicle helped alot. Also having the dvd player kept her occupied. The gas mileage was good, both on highway and around town. The GPS system helped alot when we were in the Los Angles area. We had plenty of storage space and lots of foot room in the 3 row seat. We alsolutely love this vehicle, it is the first SUV we have every bought and I will definately buy another one in the future
New Pacifica
I bought the first one sold in Baton Rouge, and absolutely love this vehicle. I just don't know what to call it--it's not an offroad SUV, nor a van, nor a station wagon. Chrysler wants us to say "sports tourer", but thats clumbsy and not really accurate. Tourer YES, but sporty-NOT REALLY. Two hundred and fifty HP is not enough to to make it sporty. But it handles the corners with surprising agility. The interior is very well appointed, and VERY wide. The exterior design is very appealing, as is the interior. It is a real head-turner.
