I am going to Miss This Car!
Had this car since it was a 2002 and had to give it up after 8 years of ownership. Nice styling, power and a comfortable ride. Changed the oil ever 3K and pampered it. Only problems were 1: Power Window Regulators (replaced 3 of them) 2: Chrome wheels began flaking and wouldn't hold tire pressure - had 4 wheels resurfaced $500. 3: Had to update the radio finally after CD stopped working This car would have probably gone to 250K miles, but it began to nickel and dime me. Latest quote was $2,000 for new struts and tranny was slipping a bit between 2nd and 3rd so it was time to move or have a possible money-pit starting.
Love this car!
I have always owned a truck,so i was a little hesitant about a car. But this car is the first and last one i will own, i do not want another unless it's the same car. I love everything about it. I honestly can't say enough about this car except if you get a chance to get one, DO IT! You will love it too!

I love the model.
I've had 3 of them. I put around 218,000 on all of them. I'm on the third. It has 137,713 right now. I maintain the gaskets, fluids, bearings, and belts. Only thing that I replace electronically is the radio, and the door blend actuator behind the radio. Youtube has helped tremendously!

I got one of the few good ones
I got lucky. I have had only one tow bill for this car and it was for a tank of bad gas. The car is really picky about the quality of gas you put in it. I drive about 120 miles a day and get around 27 MPG. Yes the windows stick in the summer. (use baby powder between the rubber seal and the glass and it stops this) Plenty of room for the wife and kids. Bought it with 63,000 miles on it for $7,600 and now have 183,000 miles showing. Only have to change out the filters and the oil and it just keeps on going. Like I said I must have gotten one of the few good ones.
Would Not Buy Another One!
I bought my 300M in Feb. 2002. I have replaced 2 window motors and am getting ready to replace one of the ones that I got fixed again. The speed sensor has gone out of the vehicle. The wheel weights had to be replaced because they were not the right ones for my tires and the air kept leaking out. The bearings in the front seem to be going out. The airconditioning went out and I have had it charged repeatedly. The dealership says the next step is to take the dash out to fix the problem. The lowest estimated cost for that is $900.00! What is appealing from the outside is a total nightmare once you get in it!
Five place Porsche?
Well...perhaps.If Porsche were to build a sports sedan,it might look like the 300M.Handles twisties well(but not like a 911 or Boxster,of course),great on the highway but wind/road noise more than it should be.Infiniti sound system takes the edge off of that.HP and torgue well balanced for this car,so plenty of power for passing and on ramps.Plenty of room in all seats and trunk..and just plain looks good from all angles.
