Loved My TrailBlazer
I bought my TrailBlazer new in Feb 2003. Overall, I have been very pleased with it. I looked at the Explorer, the Durango and Gr Cheerokee as well, but the TB's HP and styling won me over. Great for long trips, tons of storage, great in the snow (I have the locking rear). I too had problems with a leaking taillight and the trim around the license plate, but they were covered under warranty. Also had a rear window motor go last summer, but my dealer got GM to cover the part even thought the car was out of warranty. Wind noise was louder than I was used to. Mileage 15 city/22 highway. Just traded it on a new '07 Suburban - I was very sorry to get rid of it, but we simply outgrew it.
One of The Best
Best vehicle I have ever owned. Get 15 mpg city and 21 mph highway since the day I bought it. Other than ordinary maintenance, I have spent only $210 on it in 6 years.

My Best Buddy
I bought this trailblazer on august 12, 2006 with 69,802 and now it is 160,000 mlies. Never have major repair. It have not break yet at all I would be very happy to keep it forever and I will never sell
Until I bought this POS I was a GM guy for 50 year
Piece of junk. Worst vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned over 50 including MG, Austin Healey and Jaguar. Poorly engineered in that air con line runs to back between frame and body which both flex causing leaks. GM's solution.....raise the body off the frame and put the replacement back in the same place. It seemed like there was a repair every few months. The gauge cluster went out. Dealer wanted an outrageous price. I took it out, had it fixed for about 1/3 the dealer quote. Final straw was frame rusting so badly the control arm mounts rusted through making it unsafe to drive. No problems with the engine or transmission but everything else was a cock-up.

Don't buy one
I have own mind for three years. It has the V8, and it does get up and go. But it's been in the shop for things like two new transmisions, still giving me trouble as I write this. Several air conditioning problems since new, and finally last year it ate it self up and they had to replace the whole air conditioner, including all the belts. Right now I have a light on the dash telling me according to the dealer that I have to pay $350 for them to tell me why? I purchase the added protection just about everything they wanted me to purchase, now it's all ran out! Before the warranty ran out I was protected. What do I do now since the dealer told me that the air bags aren't working?
