Much better than the previous version!

Just purchased a brand new 2020 LS with the CVT. I cannot express how much of an improvement this is over the previous. I had a 2014 LS with the manual. The only feature I’ll miss is the power windows. Though the power driver door lock is handy. I can reach all the locks so I don’t mind if they are manual, but it’s nice having one that is power, and unlocks when you turn the car off. I have never minded manual windows though and getting Bluetooth, Apple/Android support, and a backup camera is pretty sweet for a “cheap” car. This 1.4 CVT our accelerates my old 1.2L 5spd, rund lower revs at highway speed, and the engine is considerably quieter! Handling is similar, but less body roll, softer ride, and much tighter steering. The interior is multiple orders of magnitude improved over my 2014. That’s all I can say. I mean hey, it’s still a tiny car. :) We will see how fuel economy compares to my 2014 as it routinely got 41 in summer and 38 winter with mixed driving. If you’re looking for a small and affordable runabout, Chevrolet has produced something simply amazing. Emphasis on the simple part, but definitely amazing. Plus it’s historical reliability history is much improved over the prior generation. I know mine had some weird electronic gremlins, those appear to be fixed on this one, but time will tell. So far I’m genuinely impressed.

I found the Chevy Spark so practical we bought 2 of them. If you are looking for a race car buy a Dodge Challenger. If you are looking for 3 roll seating and storage buy a suburban. This car does what it was designed for. And for people to be negative about the Spark you need to buy what fits your needs. I just think this little car is as nice as a pocket on a shirt.

I purchased a new 2020 Chevy Spark With the 1LT package and manual transmission in early August as a third vehicle. I can honestly say this little car just blows me away. I’ve had more compliments from people on this car than I have for my other two much more expensive vehicles. It’s a blast to drive. With the manual transmission first gear is a bit sluggish but not horrible and then as you get up to speed through the gears to fifth it just wants to go. I’ve driven it over 3K miles so far including a trip from Washington, DC to Rhode Island and back and loved the drive. I averaged 44 mpg, it’s smooth, easy to drive and change lanes. It is also nice to only fill a ten gallon tank and get outstanding mileage. The only negative I would say is the back seat is a bit cramped but in my case no one ever rides back there. It’s comfortable inside, I’m 5’11, 210 and there is plenty of room. Great vision from the car, it came with a lot of nice features including the 4G . I bought white fr higher visibility and safety. The price I paid for it, 12K was amazing. It is a fabulous commuting car and fun to drive like a go-cart. I don’t have one regret and it’s been great.

I'm 6.2 and I can drive comfortably with a car seat in the back front facing though not sure about back facing. I figured I would throw that out their for starters. Grate fuel mileage. You can find a parking spot anywhere lol. If you are good with basic mechanics such as brakes and what not and look online for parts they are dirt cheap. I haven't had to work on anything yet because it's new but thats one of many things I looked at before deciding on buying this car. Tires are cheaper to. It handles really well. The steering is really responsive. I know alot of people complain about acceleration but honestly it's not that bad even when I have my family loaded up in my car. It's obviously nothing compared to my 2012 3.6L Impala but I can still pass people comfortably on the highway with no issues maintaining a constant speed. Road noise is a little loud but it's to be expected but not by any means defining and nothing the volume nob can't handle if it bothers you. I will note it did take me a little bit to get used to the CVT. it responds and acts a little differently than a traditional automatic transmission but it's not bad. I have not gone through a winter yet that will be on another review. where I'm from we get alot of snow, ice and slush so we will see about that when it comes. from alot of reviews I've seen and read everyone says it does fine with a good set of snow tires which I will get and just from driving the car itself I think it will do good. If not I will write another review or if I can edit this one later. Yes their are things I wished this Ls model came with like cruse control or brighter headlights or better yet a rear trunk latch so I don't have to use the key every time I want to open the trunk but It is what it is and I can have most of that installed down the road. The higher trim levels offer these options but I wanted just a cheap basic car so thats what I got. The other thing I love about this car is the fuel mileage. I'm currently up to almost 31 mpg in the city. I only pay around 20$ to fill my tank up from a quarter of a tank. it only has a nine gallon tank but it lasts just as long or longer than my impala's 16 gallon tank. Yes I would and do recommend this car.

We just got a new 21 Spark LS in Cayenne Orange - it's a really cute little car. Had the windows tinted, medium on the front side windows, a limo-tint visor and back windows. Custom wheels - Sport-Tuning alloys, they look great. I also had the whole front of the car off to install a towing baseplate - we hook a tow-bar to the front and it goes behind our Winnebago motorhome. These cars are a collaboration by GM with Daewoo in Korea. Normally I don't like Korean kars, but this one is pretty great. Its got GM electronics in it, a nice center screen with AM/FM and Android and CarPlay, so we can connect our iPhone and use all of it's nice features - google maps, SiriusXM, etc. Really nice. Manual door locks takes some getting used to again - but the car is so small you can easily reach over and unlock a door or roll a window up or down. Yes, windows are manual too - how funny is that. The dealers are discounting these so don't buy a sued one. Carmax wants $15K for a used one with thousands of mile on it while the Chevy dealer is selling new ones for $12K. And zero-percent financing - yes, free money! The car drives great, has plenty of zip with a 5-speed manual. Yes, that's what we can tow, so manual it is. Fortunately we are old drivers, been around since stick-shifts were common. Very nice little car - perfect for a motorhome 'toad'. We just love it.
