Must have bought a lemon
No matter how much i babied this truck it still let me down. I loved driving this truck it handled great, the zr2 suspension made rough roads feel like you were desert racing (thats a good thing). No rattles and stayed straight. I owned the truck for 3 years, i bought it with 119k miles, it did not have a hitch so it never towed before i owned it. I put a hitch on it and towed my lawn mower and the occasional 2 place snowmobile trailer around town. I made several 600 mile trips. I towed an EMPTY 4 x 8 foot trailer for 300 miles on a flat express way at 75mph and my transmisson over heated. That was the start of my problems. I had the transmisson professionaly repaired. And then a year later i take it on a 300 mile trip without towing and the transmisson line that runs in the radiator burst and puts all my transmisson fluid in the radiator and my coolant out on the road. After having that professionaly repaired 1 week later my water pump seal gives way. Long story short. I loved the truck but it nickeled and dimed me the 3 years i had it. I ended up putting 3 new radiators in it, all new brake lines, 6 new calipers, 4 rotors, 2 front wheel bearings, upper and lower driver side ball joints. I ended up selling it with only 131k miles. Maybe i bought a lemon but either way im happy its gone. Time for a full size

"xtremely" awesome x dime
What can I say about this truck, it's simply the best vehicle I've ever bought! The 4.3 v6 is a pretty potent motor, with lots of power, and wicked tourqe. The styling cues of the Xtreme are just amazing. I've had my X for almost 5 years, and sure I've had some minor problems, but what vehicle doesn't. I've replaced the battery, the third door handle (twice), and have had the brakes done. And out of those 5 years I've drove every winter, at least 30 miles a day (highway) with no more than just a set of winter tires, and I hardly ever got stuck. Plus the best part of all: all the aftermarket parts available for it, so you can take it from a stocker to a shocker!
Can't get rid of it.
Mine is a 2 door black 4.3L V6 step side bed with the ZQ8 five-star wheels and it sits a little low. Every time I decide it's about time to sell it, I get it washed and someone compliments how nice it looks and they're right. The ride is so bumpy and hard that it is embarrassing for passengers, there appears to be interior room until you put someone in there, the brakes take a little while to get the million pound thing to stop, and it's not easy to keep the rear end still when trying to start off too fast, but all of those things are good too if you think about it. I just can't seem to make myself buy another truck. Spending +$25K to get something new isn't worth more than my 18MPG.
