Best vehicle on planet. Has human characteristics

This is the best vehicle ever produced by humanity. I won't comment on its reliability or performance, as those before me have said enough. It also speaks for itself that I am writing this review in 2016, a quarter century after this vehicle was produced. What I want to comment on is this vehicles character. Not many vehicles can be described as trustworthy, responsive, resourceful, patriotic, resilient, just, responsible, patient, and loyal. But to attempt to describe this vehicle without these words would be like describing Picasso without mentioning his ability to make art, or to talk about Pavarotti without acknowledging his singing chops. This vehicle will not let you down. Not because of the strength and durability of the materials with which it was crafted, but because of its soul. It knows that you need safe, reliable transportation. It knows that providing this transportation is it's role in your family. Like a an older brother, this Blazer will look after you every mile of your journey. The Blazer will comfort you, it will guide you, it will restore you. It will never let you down. 2017 update: Still have the car. Still runs like a dream. Still the best.

My honest review: This car has been in my family since new, father suggested it for my grandma cause she likes trucks. Currently at 107k miles, she gave it to me in the fall of 2007 when it had 60k, since then it has been a really great truck, i love it so much i dump a lot of money into keeping it like operating like new, i changed things if i felt like it could possibly break. The rust is the only huge complaint on this vehicle, i had to replace the both front fenders and the fuel tank due to corrosion. but other than the fuel tank this truck will out last others if you just do simple maintenance, and buy from someone who didn't beat it, and even then if they did it will still keep going..

This blazer was the first car i ever bought with my own money. I think I gave the guy $500 for it and he wanted around $700 but i talked him down. When I first got the car, it had all kinds of problems that I wasn't able to pick up on when me and my dad took it for a test drive. The rear brakes weren't working, the pittman arms and idler arms were both shot. There was (and still is) a major vacuum leak, so it doesn't idle like it should and the air conditioning/ vents on the dash don't work. the service engine soon light has been flashing at me since i bought it, it's best just to say it was a bad idea to buy this car. six months and $1500 later the car runs like a beast. great starter car.

Bought the vehicle new and she has never let me down. Original engine and transmission. Only normal maintenance items, water pump, alternator, etc. Survived AAA contractor putting diesel fuel in tank after replacing fuel pump. Completely restored and still capable of pulling any load.

My blazer was my first vehicle and I put that thing through so much. It will drive through just about anything and the 4WD is great for Wisconsin. I've taken it through rain, snow, cornfields, and just about anything you can imagine. It drives great and I definitely love my blazer, the only downside is the gas mileage. Other than that I wouldn't change a single thing on my blazer.

I have a front bench seat and love the extra room of not being squished in a bucket seat. The back seats lays down completely flat, which has made it nice for camping or hauling stuff. The towing is sweet. The racks on the top hold a turtle shell. The 4 WD is an added treat. Trust me we can load this thing down and keeps up with us, wouldn't trade it in for nothing, unless I had too! 2 thumbs up, would give it more, but only have 2 thumbs!

I special ordered my Blaxer in 1989 but it took awhile to get it and it was titled as a 1991. I ordered it with the two wheel drive with 3:42 axle and positraction. 5 spd. manual with the transmission cooler and a two door with single glass rear quarter windows. It is white with the tan leather interior and has the egg crate style wheels. It also has the digital liquid crystal display and the sun roof. I put 300,000 miles on it and gave it to my step son and he continues to drive it every day without any major issues. It is near 350,000miles now. It came from the factory with a GMC Grille and red racing stripes for (?) so I had to do a bit of "customizing" to make it more apealing to me.

This is a great SUV. I bought it very cheap, and I am very pleased with my purchase. I feel safe driving this compared to the Subaru I just got rid of. It's a solid truck.

I bought my Blazer from my brother, and it was just going to be temporarily. Well, my Blazer has 208,000 miles, but to my surprise, I have had no problems and it still runs great!! Plus the 4 wheel drive handles very well in extreme conditions.

Have owned 4 chevy trucks since then, 91 performed better than 2000 blazer all areas, espically in the turning radius of truck. Have 2 tahoes love them remind me of 91 but have more room. I am the 2nd owner of my s-10 blazer. It is as solid as a rock! It now has 165,000 miles plus on it, original everything! I beat the living daylights out of it because I belong to the local fire/rescue squad! What a great vehicle, and Thomas Chevrolet in McConnellsburg, PA standing behind the vehicle for me sealed the deal. Thnkas to GM for a great little vehicle! Still running strong, Dennis

I purchased her on June 16, 1990 as a 1991 model for Chevy's first year for 4 doors, but I chose the 2 door, spare tire outside the tailgate, white with all black trim. I have loved her since day one. Only ONCE has she caused me a problem. She failed to turn over but the cost to fix it was less than $200. 195,150 miles later, she still looks as good as new inside and out. It will break my heart when it comes time to let her go.

Bought used at 128,000 miles. Engine blew around 4,000 miles later. The heater core, water pump, and alternator all were replaced in first year. OK for 2 more years then at 160,000 miles had many odd problems: intermittent stalling, stalling while turning, not starting at temps below 35 degrees, rear hatch latch broke, and radio went dead. New coil and used distributor fixed starting problem. Still mystified by stalling. Only paid $2,500 but sank over $6,000 in maintenance over 3 years. Still running at 168,500 but ready for a more reliable ride.

I own a 1991 Chevy Blazer 4WD for my high school truck, I turned 16 about 7 months ago and I love this truck! Super reliable, great gas mileage. Me and my buddy drove from Binghamton New York to Norfolk Virginia on a full tank of gas, we didnt stop for gas once! Great styling, I think these trucks have great lines to them. All around one of the best trucks Chevy has ever made no doubt.

Bought used in '97 w/only 48,000 orig. miles. Vehicle distress sale due to break-in. Only problem found later was glass bits under rear bench indicating prior burlary/theft. Currently at 97,000 miles runs perfect. Factory build sheet includes over $5700 in add-ons including ext. trans & oil coolers, Posi, etc. Installed dual exhaust system, otherwise stone stock and very quick for a 3700lb vehicle. 4.3 liter Chevy engine perhaps the best ever in a small SUV. Runs cool in FL weather, AC still perfect, Could not ask for a more reliable and flashy vehicle.

April 1990 I treated myself to college grad present of a 1991 4 dr S10 4WD Tahoe Sport loaded by the dealer and on the rotating display. Hauled it to AZ and received many turning heads. I keep her clean and maintained and have just passed 120K miles. Drivers seat needs a little padding and there are a few more odd noises, but almost every weekend I climb up a 6000ft hill sometimes with a trailer.

The Best Used Vehicle I've Owned

This is the first SUV I've owned. It's a 4X4, 2-door, loaded. I've driven a friend's Blazer 4X4 and fell in love with it, and wanted one. It took me 5-6 months to find one in acceptable shape. I've only owned this vehicle for 3 weeks now, but if someone offered to buy it from me, I'd tell them to jump in a lake (I like this vehicle more than my previous one a 99 S-10 Ext Cab Pick up). If you own an older Blazer, don't get rid of it, you'll be sorry.

as a fun fact with these s10's this is the very meaning of a 1 STAR crash test just popping the hood and looking in and all i can see is anything over 40mph is fatal! any head on collision just to the right or left of the engine block doing over 40mph is lethal ! in my 1991 blazer no safety lock belts no air bags no anti-lock 100% hollow thin metal with no reinforcement ( other than the engine block but they would have to hit the engine directly to really be any protection in a head on ) dont get me wrong i love tf out of this 2 door s10 blazer 4x4 tahoe lt but WOW is this a scary ride on tight 2 lane roads ! just knowing a itty bitty car like a Miata could obliterate you and they could buff you off the point job and drive away from your mangled vehicle really sets in over 40 to 50mph

My 1st taste of the S10 blazer was helping my dad restore a 2.8 l. 1988 blazer fie my older brother and I know my dad had a S10 pick up, But not much else on that story I've owned at least a dozen of these and every one I've owned and sold still runs today They do almost feel like they have their own personality and what you would call a soul They're fun and easy and comfortable to drive and if you want to go 4 wheeling or trailing they're amazing in that category too Perfect for family and perfect for fun
