Great Car

2006 Chevrolet Impala LTZ 4dr Sedan (3.9L 6cyl 4A)

We have had our '06 LTZ for about 3 months now, and it has been flawless. The more we drive this car, the better we like it. The build quality is excellent, the ride is firm, but not harsh, gas mileage is acceptable, and improving. The Bose radio is outstanding, and the car is very quiet, even at highway speeds. I would have to call this car an outstanding value for the money in todays car market.

Disappointed

I was excited when I first got this Impala, had all the makings of a great car. After living with it for 2 1/2 months I am no longer thinking this is a great car. I have had back to the dealership 4 times so far as the keyless entry and tire pressure system is not working, still is not working. We are going to go for number 5 and a new bulletin that has come out. Also way more wind noise off doors then should be, dealer states it is acceptable per GM standards, not by my standards. Too bad this could have been a great car.

Not Happy

Life long Chevy driver, I am very disapointed with my new car. In to dealer twice already (1500 miles) vibration and ticking from the engine when brake is applied at a stop light or sitting in traffic. "New engine" so what, make it right before you send it out. 3.8 V6 was better. Service people are great and I believe they are trying, but I do not like driving this car at this point. Hopefully after further trips in to dealer and more aggravation they will be able to fix it. This is not what one expects when buying a new car!

A Great Car

I traded in a 1997 Camaro Z28, so I'm no stranger to having a lot of ponies under the hood and wasn't expecting to be impressed by the acceleration of this car, but I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't handle quite as well as the Camaro (as one would expect being a sedan), but it rides great. I think it might would outrun the Camaro in a drag race. Vast quantities of room (including a huge trunk) combined with many great features (including tire pressure monitor) leave you feeling like you're in a vehicle that costed a lot more than this one does. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants the practicality of a sedan with the heart of a sports car.

I've had my Laser Blue SS for about a month now, and in my opinion it's a great car. It's very comfortable, quiet, and rattle free. With 93 Octane gas I've been averaging about 19 mpg with mixed driving, and the motor is very strong and smooth. FYI this car will also fit two car seats and a booster seat in the back. So far, the build quality / fit and finish seem great. I haven't noticed any defects, and you don't hear the road or the wind much at all. The car handles great for a large 4-door sedan, it really seems to stick to the road well. Also, the Bose stereo sounds great, and the MP-3 player input is very convienent.
