Used 2006 Chevrolet Impala Consumer Reviews
Good for the price
This is a car you can enjoy not only driving but playing with as well. Plenty of features and solid performance. Manufacturing quality is much lower compared to competitors, specially on trim and metal sheet finish. "You get what you pay for" Hope that Impala will not have any major mechanical failure.
Great car
A great car. Reminds me of times past as to performance. Great power from V8 motor. Gas mileage remains below estimated 18 to 28 mpg. Actual about 21 mpg average.
Don't Drive It Unless You Want To Buy It
This car is pretty much the whole package. It has power, looks, sophistication, and a good list of features. Gas mileage is not exactly close to what the sticker says but I am hoping that buyers would anticipate that since the gas pedal is so enticing. I strongly suggest the SS to anyone who has the need for a large car but still wants to DRIVE! I can pretty much guarantee that the power and the thrill will make up for the lack of options. Some features that aren't mentioned... When you tap the blinker, it lights three times for a lane change and also, the OnStar phone voice recognition is immensely better. Depending on what you are driving now, the seats may seem flat and unsupportive.
3rd Impala
I have owned three Impala's ranging from 2001 to 2006. Still own all three. I am very pleased with the new 2006 model. Comfortable ride, good gas mileage, very nice interior and exterior improvements. Test drove several cars, still came back to the Impala for overall value.
Impala SS CD player blues
I love my new Impala. Fun to drive, delivers everything I wanted. Only problem I have had is the CD player. The first time I tried to put one in it would not let me. Had to take it back to the shop for them to verify the failuer and back again to have the whole radio replaced. New unit works great but I think they should add a CD check to their final inspection routine. Otherwise, thanks Chevrolet for a great car.
