The Equinox sold itself

My wife and I purchase a 2011 FWD LT Equinox a month ago and we are liking the car more and more each day. After 8 years of driving a minivan it was time to move on. We looked at all the Mid sized SUVs and we found ourselves to keep coming back to the Equinox. So many features on the model level we bought. The only disappointing thing was the headliner was missing clips so it was sagging and didn't notice until one of our sons remarked when he was a passenger in the back seat. Dealer fixed but left grease marks on fabric (another story). All in all we love our new Equinox.

In the shop for engine noise and rough starting twice in first 3000 miles. In the six weeks that I have had it it has been in the shop for 2 of them. Does not get anywhere near the mileage stated.

Having owned 2 Toyota Highlander's and a RAV 4 I was in the process on dealing for a 2009 Highlander lease back. I was ready to close the deal but my wife kept asking me to look at the Equinox. A friend of hers had one and my wife was really impressed. Well, I gave in and put the Highlander on hold and went to look at the Equinox. I honestly found it hard to believe that the Equinox was so great. I cancelled the Highlander and bought the Equinox. Every day I find that I am more satisfied with it. I honestly cannot complain about a thing. I am sure there are going to be some out there that are going question my decision but all I can say is that I am really glad I bought the Equinox.

Hi! I recently purchased a brand new 2011 equinox three days ago with 130 miles on it. I LOVE the look, comfort and drive with this SUV. The standard features are amazing, the sound system is killer, and the bluetooth is awesome. I paid a little extra and got the LT1 with the sunroof and remote start, back up camera and power seats. TOTALLY worth it. The DAY I bought it we got hit with a HORRIBLE, and I mean HORRIBLE hail storm and tornadoes. (FIGURES RIGHT?). My suv handled amazing in this weather. We actually got stuck in the car when some of it hit and during the high winds it did not wander at all and NONE of my windows or anything got even a little crack. I do however have hail dents

Disappointing City MPG, Good Highway

Despite people complaining about MPG, I bought my Equinox about 6 weeks ago. My city mileage has been significantly below the 22 MPG EPA rating, but surprisingly, I did get 32 MPG on a long road trip with a fully loaded vehicle. So far, I have enjoyed driving my Equinox, having upgraded from an 09 Pontiac Torrent. The vents don't blow right on me, but the A/C is capable and delivers very cold air. I'm not super tall, but if it weren't for the steering wheel controls, I would have a heck of a time operating the radio. Beware, the driver's side has a bad blind spot, but having the same issue with my Torrent, I am used to it. Use your mirrors and look over your shoulder and it'll be fine.
