World Class caliber let down by GM quality...

I have a 2021 C8 3LT convertible. Performance, handling, and ride quality is amazing. Styling is head-turning and overall value is terrific. It just about does everything a Ferrari or Lambo can do for less than half the price. However, it's let down by GM's infamous quality control issues. On my car in particular, the leather on the upper part of the dash is warping. From what I hear, GM doesn't have a real fix for this except to replace the whole dash. But even that won't guarantee it won't happen again. I also hear this happens on many 3LT models with the leather dash. even on brand new '23 models! This is simply unacceptable. Such a shame that a world-class caliber sports car like the C8 is let down by GM's QC issues.

Best Corvette Ever!!

I have owned a C4 Corvette since 1990. I wanted to upgrade to a convertible and I was waiting for the C8. I was able to spend some real quality time behind the wheel (16 hours). The pictures make it look like there isn't a lot of interior room and I was worried about getting in and out (I'm 55). This car was beyond great. First the ride was smooth, it felt like my challenger more than any corvette that I have ever driven. Power was there but more important the backend didn't break out when stepping on it. I only had experienced wheel spin once romping on it hard. There was plenty of interior room and it wasn't hard to get in and out. Easier than my C4. The stereo was excellent. The only complaint is backing out of parking spaces. You are blind for a minute or two but the rear view mirror camera really helps out. The convertible is really nice. I had the top down as much as possible. I really liked the fact that I could slow to 30 and then bring it up (or down). Top down side glass up, rear glass down and ac on, traveling at highway speeds was really enjoyable.

Fantastic value but still a GM product

For $90k the exterior panels should align, there should be radiator protective screens, using Alexa shouldn’t blank the info screen requiring shutting off the car to fix and there should be adaptive cruise. Could also use map pockets on center hump. But to get 27 mpg doing 80 mph is pretty impressive for 495 hp engine even if it does run rough at idle. Easy to drive long distances.

This car was everything it was preported to be. It is flashy, quick, agile, and a totally fun vehicle to drive, especially with the top down. There is a little under steer when putting the car through its paces, but nothing too outrageous. The cockpit is well appointed with nice details. The car was well worth the money spent ($106,000+ out the showroom door).

I have previously owned C3, C4, C5, C6 Corvettes, and C7 Corvettes, but this C8 is the best all around Corvette by far. It is of course very quick, but also comfortable, has lots of storage with the trunk in the rear, and the frunk up front. It is easy to use as I do, as a daily driver. I have always loved convertibles with the top down, but never how they looked with the rag top up. The C8 takes care of that by being a hardtop convertible, so it looks just as good with the top up or down--with just the touch of a button. The top is fully automatic, with no levers to pull or latch to active the top, just push one button, and it does the rest. My Stingray is well optioned with 3LT, Z51, Front Lift, Mag Ride, and the Carbon Flash Package. It also has the Competition Seats, which so far are the only things I don't love. I am 6'2", and weigh 225, so my butt and back fit great, but my thighs are a little too tight, which gets old on long drives. The car only has 5k miles on it, so I hope they will loosen up as they break in, or I might be looking for some jet black GT2 seats to swap in. Other than that, I completely love this car, and I wouldn't change a thing!!

Spirited Daily Driver and Grand Touring Machine

The C8 hardtop convertible with 3LT trim and Magnetic Ride Control is by far the most versatile sports car that I've ever owned. The ability to configure the car to your mood is a big plus as everything is customizable from the steering and brake feel, transmission shifting aggressiveness, suspension stiffness, and even the sound of the exhaust. The dual-clutch transmission works great in "automatic" mode, but put it in "manual" and use the paddle shifters and you can play your own soundtrack up and down the rev scale. I usually drive in Sport Mode which is a good blend of responsiveness and comfort, but when I hit a long cruising stretch of freeway Tour Mode tames the beast by quieting the exhaust, softening the ride, and eliminating any twitchiness to help make the miles fly by. I highly recommend the hardtop convertible (HTC) model as it is easy to put the top down and back up for those short jaunts around town running errands. Not only does the HTC encourage "going topless" as much as possible, it also doesn't lose any storage space whatsoever when the top is down so you can pack for a road trip and have the option of top up or down at any time. And because of its slippery shape and Active Fuel Management, cruising either on the freeway at speed or on secondary roads at touring pace yields about 26 MPG. The top trim level 3LT is very nice and makes the cockpit feel much more luxurious than the price tag would suggest. This is my first Corvette and I don't see myself going back to any of the European or other foreign sports cars anytime soon... this C8 is that good!
