Used 1994 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Consumer Reviews
Love this car
Just recently purchased my 94 vette with a little over a 125,000 miles and I have to say, I love this car. The performance, styling, handling, everything. Wish I would have bought one years ago/
feelin it in my vette
I bought my 94 vette about a month ago. Always wanted one. Love the looks of the C4. Especially with the saw blade wheels! These cars are very reasonable on price! you can find a clean ones under 10k all day and in excellent shape. I am so happy I bought this!! drives awesome. it is the best bang for the buck and it turns heads. The only problem I had is if you buy a 6 speed manual see if it still has the original flywheel. They came with a dual mass flywheel and they go bad. GM does not make it anymore and no one makes the same one aftermarket. So you have to buy a special one aftermarket. You will get some light vibration under harder acceleration, not bad but not as smooth as it was factory. The Vette I just bought had an aftermarket aluminum flywheel in it and it has a lot more vibes when accelerating. So go with the heavier steel one and it will smooth out the drive. The car was totally stock accept for the flywheel the previous owner put in because the dual mass flywheel went bad. I just put in a new clutch and new 36lb flywheel and now its great.

c4 Love!!!
Big difference in what was considered TOP state of the art back then and now. But all that considered, it's a very nice toy. When it's bad, it's bad and cost a lot to fix. But, when she's good, she's excellent. You can pull up at ANY event and NEVER be out classed. Get's lots of attention. People always commenting on how "nice" it is, even younger people. Very fast. It can keep up with the horses for sure. I was once told that once you own one, you WILL want another. That's true!!!

Eye catching machine
I bought my 94 vette in the summer of 2015 with 58,894 miles on it and let me tell you, this baby can move. I get compliments on it like crazy. It's a beautiful machine still and rides like it just came out of production in Bowling Greene, Kentucky. The previous owner took good darn care of it and trust me I'll do the same. Love this vette.

1994 LT-1 Coupe
I've had this car now for eight years. I'm the third owner and got it with 14,500 miles; it now has 25,000 on the odometer. Besides being fun to drive, it's still a head-turner. The 350 V-8 runs very strong. The car is in solid #2 condition and I use it strictly as a summer cruiser. What a great automobile!
Cheap smiles -
I've had my 94 vette for 5 years and driven it around 12K miles. It currently has around 68k miles, and I haven't had any major problems - the CD has died twice thats it. It was a $125 repair - if it goes again I will go aftermarket and get Ipod integration bluetooth etc which would be a nice updgrade in an older car. For the price I paid for this car you can't touch the performance, styling and fun factor of this car with anything else out there. Even moving up to a C5 costs a lot more. Makes a great summer toy. Do yourself a favor and find a clean one and you will be happy you took the time and spent a little more. That's what I did and couldn't be happier (unless I had a new Z06)
Wow
Bought the car last week. Wow! Can't even describe this car. It literally gets the heart pumping. It looks awesome. Gets a lot of attention. It sticks to the road like its on rails. Corners are a blast, no need to slow down with this one. It the best toy I have ever owned!
The Fastest Mistake
The 1994 Chevrolet Corvette is by far one of the coolest cars I've ever seen. Pop-up headlights, reverse hood, targa top, V8 5.7, etc. As a 17 year old boy I decided to purchase this car from a family on Craigslist. It was a nice dark purple, clean body, with only 70,000 miles on it. I had it inspected and obviously there were a few things wrong but nothing to bad, because I only payed 2000$ for new brakes, radiator, and headlights. After about 1 month however...needed a new intake hose, new horn, plastic was wearing, fuel was leaking into the filter, water pump went bad. I'm about 4000$ sunk into maintenance. The car is worth $6500 by next month I could afford another vette. No, this is not a reliable car. Yes, I'm a dumb kid who spent money on a car I didn't need. MOVE PAST THIS. Look at it. It's the American Dream and it's beautiful. It goes like hell when it runs and it ALWAYS turns head. Give it love, and if you don't mind paying for the maintenance, and fuel-which can be expensive if you drive a lot, you will learn to accept this car. 3 stars as a daily driver. But if you find a nice one and you whip it out on occasion, I guarantee your smile won't come off and you will come back to Edmunds and write a 5 star review.

what a fun car to drive
i bought this car of a co worker who need cash fast for 6,500, clean as whip only 80,000 mile on car. car is built very well
Awesom
I've owned 5 Porsche's to date. I cannot believe I wasted so much money on those. This car is faster, handles better and is far cheaper to own.
2nd best car I have ever owned
I had a 1991 Corvette and it was the worst car I had ever owned. I was going to never drive another vette again and this one came along. New on the show room. It has been great. I have driven it in every state over every kind of road and just love it. It has 182000 miles with no trouble.
My First Vette!
Just bought a 94 Coupe 6-speed w/ 55K for $9000. I am the third owner. 2nd was a wholesaler. Been in California it's whole life. It needed tires/serpentine belt and fluids changed. Car has been sitting for a while. Took care of all that the first week. Car is very powerful and comfortable to drive. Just a cruiser for me. I am 54 years old and decided it was time to get one. Absolutely love it!

My 94 C4
Great handling car. As I get older it is harder to get in and out of. It is still a bliast to drive. Seems like the little annoying things are starting to break. Power seats, CD player. The leather enterior could be better quality.
An Awesome Car
Corvettes should be a model for all other sports cars. Its handling and power is virtually unparalelled. Im extremely satisfied with this vehicle.
Affordable Icon
Best American car - bar none. Exceptional quality for a US mfgr. circa 1990s. 3300 lbs. w/ 300 hp & 330 ft/lbs torque. American pushrod smallblock V8s rule. Amazing technology for the 90's. 5 onboard computers, ABS, ASR, dual airbags. Great weekend or summer hobby car.
My 94 Vette
Seats have faded, but are not yet torn. Cracking of the paint is noticed on the rear of the car. Performance is still good, however overheating is a difficulty, I generally have to turn the 'ASR' off, as it has a tendency to activate too soon for my tastes. Just a few minor repairs needed such as passenger window doesn't work.
Do not buy a chevy
I purchased this car with 66k miles on it and it has been one problem after another. The water pump went out,the alternator needed to be replaced it backfired continuasly, it has small electrical problems. The car had a bad torque converter in it, it turned out chevy put the wrong one in it.Ive had to get 4 tuneups and now im trying to sell it before it costs me more money.
worth every penny
Bought my first C4 Corvette and I'm happy in every way. The preformance of the LT1 is awesum and the handeling is great. You could spend alot more on an import and get alot less. I feel the Corvette is ont the best bang for the buck cars out there. You can pick up a used Corvette for less than 20K than will out preform most new imports and all domestics except the Viper.
New toy
This is first Vette that I have not only owned in some time (30 years+) but driven as well. It has 119000 miles but still runs great. I was pleased and amazed with the gas mileage (22+), more than my Nissan v-6 pickup, again amazing for the performance. As can be expected I have to do repairs and some restoration, but overall for a performance car over 12 years old with 119000 miles it is still in great condition considering. It is not only fun to drive but great to look at (new models c-6 ugly) but that's my opinion.
Fun to Drive
I am a proud new owner of a '94 Vette. I must admit it is a tight fit it you are large size, and getting in and out can be a challenge, but what an exhilarating ride. It definitely pins you in the seat
Great
Great Car, spent all nights indoors, paint waxed annually, kept clean 24/7. 6-speed, never raced, adult owner. 100% dependable. Engine compartment as clean as paint. I suffered Illness in '95 and couldn't drive much after that. Have other corvette for fun. Still almost smells factory fresh!
C4 fan
So affordable and so fun to drive. Be prepared to spend to 2-3k on 100,000 tuneup but then you get another 100,000 without a lot of drama. Great engine block

The most beautiful automobile, that ever bankrupte
Absolutely LOVE driving this car! Perfect gear ratios in the 6-speed tranny, excellent handling, excellent acceleration, outstand breaking, great solid rattle free ride, since installing Bilstein "gas" shocks, comfortable seats (l'm 6' tall, 200#). But in the 10yrs l've owned it, repairs have been a total thorn into what could have been a great experience, yet it only has 120k miles! It seems redline in 1st and 2nd and even on rare occasions in 3rd a few times a week (it's my daily driver). But repairs are forcing me to find something more realiable. But l can guarantee you'll LOVE driving this car!
