This car with the XFE 2.2L engine over achieves the 36 mpg with the 5 speed manual transmission. Actually getting 40+ mpg. Comfort, features, price structure, warranty, and quality compare at or above the cars in its class. I test drove the Focus and Accent the same week I bought the Cobalt. I haven't bought a GM product since 1982, and was pleasently shocked by the product I eventually bought.

I've loved the cobalt from my first glance at one. Very dependable, gets me to where I need to and back with amazing gas mileage. My first one I bought, was a 2010 ss cobalt.... The only issue I had was the person who sold it to me lied about the title being salvage but still I loved driving that car. Definitely gonna continue with the cobalt, ild like to go back to the manual transmission much more fun that way.

I bought this car because I wanted to downsize from a mini van thinking I would save on gas.Big mistake my mini van got better gas mileage than this car.the car does have good acceleration good steering, turning for a 2.2 liter but the gas part not so good.I do a lot of highway driving so i needed a car with good gas mileage.also it doesn't have a lot of leg room i have 2 kids and it's really tight ride. unfortunately this car doesnt have a high resale value so i didn't get much when i traded it in

My mother is 80. She is spry and on the go. Her car starts beautifully but out of nowhere the gas peddle stops doing it’s job! If my mother is in a accident because her car will not excell at a light or a freeway I will SUE GM BECAUSE THEY KNOW THIS IS A PROBLEM!
