Used 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe Consumer Reviews
FUN, FUN, FUN.....needs a tiny tweak.
Overall I love this car - I won the car in a contest and decided before I took delivery the sport coupe was not for me. I test drove 10 cars at least and still could not find anything I liked better than this sporty coupe. Fast, quiet and smooth. Mileage averages 28-30 and the dashboard readout is a nice option. This would be a great car for my teenager, but I don't want to turn it loose!
Can't get enough!
I purchased my Colbalt right before the GM employee discount came out. At first I was bummed that I paid a higher price, but after owning and driving it for almost 3 months, I couldn't care less! It gets up and goes, hugs those tight curves and is easy on gas. The roomy interior is one of the pluses, but if you need backseat room, you're out. Being a two door car, the doors don't seem to swing really wide like others do. I've had numerous comments on how it looks. I know the engine can go, my husband just got a ticket in it the other day, pushing 90 and he said it handled just as well as it does at 30. This car handles open, curvy, hilly and traffic clogged roads all equally well.

I like it
I like the styling and performance. The only flaw I have found are both front doors swing open too far. You have to be very careful where to park it or there will be some damage if you allow the doors to open all the way
Best bang for your buck
I was seaching for a car this summer after my 1997 Ford Escort gave out and I was looking at the Saturn ION coupe but I couldn't afford the price tag. My friend was the salesman at the dealership so he told me to go check out the Cobalts cause they are the same car minus the halfdoors. This car is phenominal for the price, I never thought that a NA 4banger could keep up with my friend's v6 Mustang but it does. The back trunk is huge granted you can get your stuff beyond the tiny opening.
Great Car For The Price!
I really enjoy my Cobalt. I was lucky enough to have a friend who worked for Chevy. He worked everything out for me. My Cobalt is by no means a fast sports car or a luxury Lexus or anything, but it has been a wonderful car. I have had no problems in 2 years and anything I needed done got fixed promptly and w/o out any questions from Chevy. I do wish the gas mileage was a little better, but it rides great and is comfortable for trips. It's a great car for the low price
