This SUV is OK
I purchased this car 8 months ago, and I am already looking to trade it in. It was a fun car at the beginning, but with 14 mpg and 16-18 on the highway, it is not worth it. Also, my 2003 looks exactly like every other Blazer model. Not complaining, but I would have liked some exterior updates to show some kind of evolution. I will hopefully be able to get some money out of it to trade it in.
Long Live Blazer
I have a 1992 Chevy S-10 Blazer with a Tahoe package and I love it. This vehicle has 165000 miles on it and refuses to die. t burns very little oil at first start up after it has been sitting but other than that it's fine.I have the high performance engine which has 200 horses and 260 torque and it pulls a 4100 pound boat at 70 with very little trouble. That is in overdrive. The only trouble I had with it was when I had to have the transfer case rebuilt, but it was worth it.It gets between 16 and 19 mpg in town and 17 to 24 on the highway depending on how you drive.

ZR2 Blazer
Horrible vehicle!! It's been in the shop 7 times in the last 8 months, 6 for the same HVAC problem and once due to a transmission casing issue. Customer service in 3 states has been horrible, the customer service line provided in the manual is of no help. I'll never buy another Chevy vehicle again!!
Remember your first Tonka Truck ?
Remember your first Tonka Truck as a child ? This truck is that little kids fantasy come to life ! It goes through snow like it wasn't there. It rides decent for a truck but has a few blind spots with the rear door tire and back seat headrests.(when no one is in the back seat I put the headrests down to improve visibility - it helps!) The gas mileage is rough and one of my side mirrors had a stress fracture but service has been quick and courteous at the dealership. I was very dissappointed with the trade-in value after only one year as I would have liked to upgrade to a 2004 model of the same truck.

my blazer is one of the best vehicles i've bought its comfortable luxrious and all out great i would recomend this vehicle to anybody looking for a nice vehicle.
I love my Blazer
I hear alot of negative comments about the Blazer. I love it. It is American and I do believe that it is extremely comfortable. It seems that since the Trailblazer came around, it is not respected as it was. We LOVE it...would not trade it for the world!
LOVING my 1st SUV, my Chevy Blazer
I love it...great in every way...hope that auto makers continue to improve miles per gallon...I'll never go back to Ford again - Chevy is awesome! Deb G., White Marsh, Maryland
Great vehicle for the money!
So far this has been a great vehicle to own! Minor annoyances like chipping paint on the radio, and a piece of molding above the windshield flying off. I have not yet had a mechanical problem with this vehicle at all!
OK...But Could Be Better!
I bought my 2003 Chevy Blazer in June 2006, making me the 2nd owner. It had 32,000 miles and was just under warranty! By the time the warranty was up, about 2 months, the ball joints needed replaced as well as brakes and rotors. Had all work done under warranty! About every 15-20,000 miles, it has to have the ball joints replaced for some reason. I now have 86,000 miles on it and it is due for ball joints again. Also, my air conditioner quit working as well as my driver's side window. THESE ARE VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIRS! Also, have to do brakes and rotors about once a year. It is a good vehicle to drive though, especially with the sun-roof open and the cd player going. Great in snow!
Mr.
I bought an Extreme Version of this car. It has an awesome looks, people always ask me about my car. It's powerful, good torque and fun to drive.
